Percy's POV

30 Minutes earlier

After running a bit I stop Carmelo." Hey man. Wait." He turns around looking at me , woah he's tall." Look dude I didn't hurt her or lay a hand so no need to..." I stop him." I know just stopping you before you go to a bar and drink your feelings away."

He gives me a weird look then turns back to the building he was going to enter." Yeah it's a bar but I'm not going to drink my feelings." I sigh in relief." I'm going to eat my feelings they have the best nachos, wings, and homemade Rootbeer."

Ooo he's going to eat his feeling away...... " That's worst Carmelo!" He gives me a weird look." Hey aren't you that kid from the news like 10 years ago? " I facepalm a bit" yeah but you're getting off topic. Look it's not good to eat your feelings away. Yes you and your friend had an argument but that doesn't mean you have to eat your feelings away."

He laughs a bit sadly and looks at me." What happened was a punch to the gut. I try to help her, warn her that the bastard she calls her boyfriend is cheating on her. What does she do? She slaps me." He sighs and looks down at the ground as I see hurt in his eyes.

" All I was trying to do was help her." I sigh then thinks a bit "want to go to a rage room to let out your anger?" He looks at me while thinking then nods.

While walking he looks over at me" Also sorry about the yelling and other stuff." I shake my head." Ah don't worry about it. I heard worse trust me, my old stepdad was a fucken asshole."

We laugh a bit as I pay for the rage room.

Carmelo's POV

After a while of breaking stuff I lean against a wall and looks for my phone to apologize to Ruby." Fuck my phone it's in my jacket." Percy looks over at me." Where's your jacket?" He looks over at me.

I sigh a bit sadly." With Ruby." Percy nods." I would give you mine to call her but I lost my phone." He sighs and mumbles under his breath about a Minotaur. He then looks over thinking." Why not come to my place, I'm sure my mom can lead you her phone."

I nod and walks with Percy as he turns to me." You love her don't you? Ruby." I nod and blush then looks down at my feet." I do but she's with Axle that cheating bastard. I can tell she's been unhappy with him also... she's not herself. Her smile isn't as bright as it use to be, her eyes don't sprankle as they used to be. But when she's with me it's like a switch has flip she's herself. She smiles, her eyes sparkle brighter than the North Star " I smile and blush a bit talking about her.

Percy just stares at me as we walk." Dude your head over heels for her. Tell her how you really feel." I chuckled a bit and shakes my head." That'll do more harm to our friendship." I sigh as we get to his house and walk in we hear someone arguing then I realize it's Ruby.

" YOU Freaken butt dialed me. We're done Axle, and f... screw off. If I ever see you step foot near me or even Carmelo. You better pray neither one of us are having a bad day." She hangs up and turns to me and Percy.

" She's scary when mad." Percy whispered I just nod whispering." That's nothing." I slowly walks over to her." Hey." We both say at the same time and blush". I'm sorry." We laugh a bit as we apologize at the same time. Then she lunges towards me hugging me tightly and kisses my cheek.

" I should've listen to you Melo. I was wrong and I'm sorry about it ." She lays her head against my chest as we stood there hugging I take a deep breath as I look down at her then as she stands on her toes to kiss me I smile and just kisses her back.

Percy's POV

I smile as I watched the two friends now couple embrace as I walk over to Annabeth and hugs her close whispering." I swear I think Aphrodite wanted us to actually hear them fighting so they can be together." She nods and smiles.

About 4 years later I smile as I show Annabeth an invite to a wedding." Hey we got a wedding invitation." I open it and sees it's for Carmelo and Ruby.

I then see another note saying " Thank you for helping us see that we love each other."
