What If? (AU)

(This is a what if Percy didn't catch Annabeth in time when she was dragged down into tartus , off of a post I saw on Pinterest)

Nicos POV.

"NO" was all I heard Percy scream, he didn't make it on time to catch her , me and Hazel had to hold him back as he was fighting to jump down there with her .

" Percy no it's to late we can't let you go down there we need you." Hazel said as she was crying .

" Let me go Annabeth needs me ." He tries to fight as Jason and Frank comes over and drags him off as he just cries .

I felt it , her soul leave her body I crumble to my knees . Percy's other half is gone , she's dead . How am I going to tell the savior of Olympus that the love of his life , his soulmate is dead .

I look over at Hazel as she had felt it to and she was crying I just hug her as we leave .

As we got up to land it was awful , a huge hurricane, the ground was shaking like crazy , he felt it , he knows Annabeth died.

When we got on the Argo it was flooded every pipe and plumbing on it was broken the sea was rocky .

His eyes changed from a sea green to a dark green , a dark green that made him look evil. The funny, sassy , Percy we know and love is now dead .

Then he said something that made all of us gasp .

" I'm going to rip Gaia limb for limb then I'm going after Athena, cause it's all her fault ." He glared at us

This isn't the Percy we know anymore he changed . He's scary now , but he's right , this is Athena's fault Annabeth is dead because of her .

Percy did keep his promise of killing Gaia it was awful and bloody after that we headed to Olympus where Zeus asked us what we wanted for saving Olympus again Percy stepped forward and said what we all feared he say.

" lord Zeus I wish that Athena is punished for the death of Annabeth Chase the love of my life." He said it with some much anger that he was crying as the ground was shaking.

Athena was taken a back for it , as all the gods look at her but she glared at Percy and says " MY FAULT? ITS YOUR FAULT PERCEUS. YOU COULDNT SAVE HER IN TIME . SO YOU SHOULD BE PUNISHED BECAUSE OF HER DEATH "

With that Athena zapped Percy , he just smiled while holding a bag of golden Drachma , as he just stood there taking the blast from Athena causing him to die .

This was his plan all along to die by the hands of Athena and be reunited with Annabeth in Elysium.

Who's going to tell Sally that her only son died ? Who's going to tell Mr.Chase that his only daughter is gone? Who's going to tell Thalia?

Annabeth's POV

I can't believe my mom just killed Percy . I mean he caused his own death just to be with me here in Elysium but he left his mom behind.

I waited for him as I see him enter the gates I just ran towards him and kiss him " Seaweed brain you are a idiot I swear."

He kissed me back and smiles" If your not in my life Wisegirl there's no point in living "
