A/N: updating early for the weekend,
The ceiling was nice to look at while Robin and Nami slept peacefully.
I lay awake in bed, my mind racing as I tried to sleep. My attempts at sleeping has been in vain, despite napping above while sun bathing. I still struggled to wrap around the fact that I left Water Seven. The bed kept me from rocking so it helped prevent my stomach from turning, but I kept tossing around. I grumble and slowly get out of the bed, I grabbed a cotton sling to use for my arm rather than use the brace. I didn't bother to try and put it on since it was still too early in the morning. Slowly I tip toed to the door, putting on my slippers I opened the door. The night was beautiful, closing the door behind me.
I take a deep breath enjoying the fresh clean air. I nodded to myself and headed down the stairs to see some of the crew past out on the deck. It was one hell of a night, yesterday we had a feast at night as we celebrated. The guys scattered around passed out, Zoro had a few barrels around him as he slept. Luffy and Usopp lay next to each other, one with a bulging stomach. The other with flushed cheeks, both snoring. I saw the cook who was leaned up against the mast sleeping next to Franky. And finally the doctor, he was fast asleep on the lawn chair, snoring and half over the edge of the chair. I pick him up with my left arm and walked down the hallway leading to the stairs under the deck. I pass the sick bay and open my workshop door, turning the lights on. I glanced around at the maroon walls before using Chopper's hat to cover his eyes so he could sleep.
Heading to the chair, I carefully try to recline it back and set Chopper down. He rolls to his side sleeping and snuggling into the chair. I gave him a soft smile turn away to my desk to work. I bite the inside of my cheek frustrated at the lack of blueprints I had. I started opening the rest of the cabinets. Empty, I chew my lip nervously. I knew two of the sic was empty. But now half of them? Where the hell did my blueprints go? I open the fourth draw, and sigh in relief seeing that I was stuffed full of blueprints. I opened the fifth and stared dumbfounded.
Empty.
"What the hell?" I mutter to myself quietly and stare at the barren drawer. I shake my head and grabbed the blueprints from the fourth on. Once I grabbed them all I took them back to my desk and started sorting threw them.
Air compressor bullet gun, snap band knife, suction shows, flamethrower, Electric hook gun, and many more. Where the hell was the rest of my blueprints. I reach into the drawers trying to find a snail, I pull out a transponder snail and click it.
"Pururprur pur ca-click"
"Didn't think you'd call so soon" Dad said with a teasing voice, I stared at the snail silently. The transported started to sweat bullets slightly. "Where the hell are my blueprints?" I glared at the snail waiting for an answer. But the snail began to laugh projecting Dad's laughter. "Hahahah, I was for sure thinking it would take you a week to notice. I guess I owe Paulie a few berries. Don't worry I have them, you forgot the ones in the guest house" He explained, I groaned and rubbed my head. Of course I forgot the one place I live in. I slumped against the desk with my knees on the floor. "Got it, so it'll take forever then" My voice muffled against the wood. "Ahh don't worry. I'll send them to sabaody, there is someone that I know will keep an eye on them" Dad added, I could hear him smiling. That and the snail was smiling. "Anyways, what are you doing up kid? You guys haven't gotten too far enough for time to be that big of difference between us" His voice sounded worried a little, I remained quiet for a while. "I don't know, I just couldn't sleep..." I trailed off unsure, in the corner of my eye I could see Chopper toss a little in the chair. I guess I was talking a little too loud.
"Well whatever is bothering you, don't think much about it. Change is hard to adjust to at first so don't force it. So go get some sleep kid" Dad says, I stood up slowly and looked at the snail. "Thanks Dad" I reach to end the transmission, I knew talking to him would help. I grab the snail and set it back in the drawer. I walked over to see him awake. "We didn't mean to forget your blueprints" His voice was really quiet, I tilt my head at him confused. "While you were with Robin and Nami in the shopping district we tried to get all your stuff from the shack aboard" My gaze softened and I patted his head. "Its okay, the ones I forgot was in my house. I kinda want those" I tilt my head at him with a smile. I yawned and rub my eyes gently. "Let's go to bed" Chopper yawns as I grab him, we head out of the workshop. Turning the lights off and closed the door and walked through the hallway. I blinked tiredly seeing the sun start to peak above the horizon, it was a sight to see. I sluggishly walk forward and saw Zoro had moved. I sit down next to him to tired to go up a set of stairs, I lean my head against the wood next to the swordsman, chopper snuggled into my arms as I closed my eyes.
