Fortunately for the city of Russia, the night was calm and quiet, even though it snowed. The wind blow was mild, and the streets were quiet.
Well, this part of Russia doesn't normally get it this easy, during snowy days.
Having trees not flying out of the ground was a huge weather improvement, and such a fortunate thing for the city. Even though the weather was comfortably calm, the pedestrians were almost free of Humans, and cars hardly drove across the streets.
An incident almost ruined the calm day for an old woman when a huge, black car almost hit her, causing her to mistakenly lose grip of the oversized items she had in her hands.
The driver luckily regained control over his car and quickly stopped the car. Luckily for him, he was able to get the car away from the old woman. Unfortunately, though in pursuit of controlling the car, he mistakenly crashed into the shrubs of a well decorated cottage.
Luckily, the car was unharmed, the driver was unharmed, and the shrubs were also unharmed. Well, another unfortunate thing was, the driver was really furious.
The driver, a dark skinned, well-built man with tattoos all over his body, stormed out of the car, walking towards the old woman, with a furious expression.
"Hey old hug!" He yelled as the old woman knelt down on her knees to retrieve her dropped items "You should watch yourself when you are near the road! Old women like you shouldn't be allowed to walk around! You should be on your lazy chairs, preparing yourself for death and all that stuff! See what you made me do to my car, you arrogant . . ."
"Shut up." The old woman said, as her eyes started to glow orange.
The man stopped all of a sudden, and his eyes also started to glow orange. Then they stopped glowing, and the man became normal.
The old woman rose to her feet, with a smirk and muttered:
"Death? It is annoying when Humans can not acknowledge a woman who's lived long and give her the respect she's due. Do me a favour, and teach yourself a lesson. Maybe a punch will do."
The man clenched his fist and gave himself a very powerful punch.
"Hmm. Just once more."
He punched himself again, and blood started to ooze out of his mouth.
"Hmm. That was a little bit too much." The old woman said "But not enough. Tell you what, if you help me pick up my food stuff, I'll forgive you."
"Of course." The man said, bending over to pick them up "Just relax, I've got this."
"You'd really do me a favour if you would drive me home, you know?" She said, tapping the man's shoulder.
"Yeah, sure." The man agreed, immediately.
The old woman walked into the car, and the man drove off, deep into the night, on the lonely streets.
It was a long drive, and now they'd ended up on the overdrive, racing with the other cars along the road, as midnight drew nearer.
Throughout the drive, the old woman watched through the window, with her eyes halfway shut. She gasped when she felt her phone vibrating from her pocket.
"At this time?" She muttered to herself.
She inserted her arm into her pocket and pulled her phone out, and then she pressed it gently against her ear.
"Hello?"
"Hello Kora." A voice greeted.
"Oh, Andrea. What's up? It's been long." Kora recognised, untying her scarf, and placing it on her laps "I know it's surprising that after all these years, I'm still able to walk like a young woman. By the way, how's everyone back in Tokyo."
