"Prince, do you need something?" she asked, her eyes curious.
"No," he replied quickly, trying to mask his surprise. "Um, what are you doing out here at this time?"
"I couldn't sleep, Prince, that's why I'm here. It looks like you were about to leave," she said, glancing at him.
"Um, no... no, I just got here," he stammered, feeling a mix of relief and excitement.
"Oh, okay, Prince. I will take my leave then," she said, bowing slightly and starting to turn away.
"Don't go, don't go!" he thought, but then blurted out,
"Stop!"
She paused, looking back at him with a raised eyebrow. "Prince?"
"Um, didn't you come to sit , you came to sit here right ?" he asked, trying to sound casual.
"Yes,, but how can i disturb respected prince , I will head somewhere, Prince," she replied, a hint of hesitation in her voice.
"You... you can sit," he said, his words stumbling out.
"Prince?"
she asked, slightly confused.
"Just sit," he insisted, more firmly this time.
"Thank you, Prince," she said, smiling as she settled down beside him. They sat together in silence for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. The night air was calm, and the gentle sound of water lapping at the edge of the pool filled the space between them.
"You had dinner?" he asked awkwardly."Um? Yes, Prince," she replied."And you, Prince?" she asked, returning the question."Yes," he said simply."How is your wound, Prince?" she inquired, pointing to his arm."Um? Yes, it's fine now," he said, glancing down at the bandage.
"Um, can I ask you something?" the prince inquired hesitantly.
"Yes, Prince," she replied.
"Who is Aryan?" he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.
Her expression softened, but the weight of his words lingered in the air.
"I mean, I've heard you say that name often, that's why I asked," he explained, trying to sound casual.
Her expression softened, but the weight of his words lingered in the air.
"He is someone who is very important to me, my everything," she admitted, her voice filled with emotion.
"I miss him a lot." Her words hung in the air, leaving Abhimanyu feeling a mix of sadness and understanding.
"He is someone so kind, so loving, and so supportive," she continued, her eyes shining with emotion.
He's the person I always search for in this lonely world."
Her words resonated deeply, amplifying the emptiness Abhimanyu felt inside.
"Life was beautiful when I was with him," she said softly, her gaze distant as if she were lost in those memories. Her words hung in the air, a bittersweet reminder of the happiness she once knew.
Something inside him broke at that moment, a deep ache settling in his chest. He felt the weight of her words, realizing how much Aryan meant to her and how far he was from being the person she truly cherished.
