𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑, 𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝟓𝐏𝐌., we're still driving around. We finished our sushi lunch at 3:45, got gas, snacks, and somehow managed to buy cigarettes with Eren's money, which he insists was a genius move. Now, we're parked behind an abandoned building with the windows rolled down, the cool breeze wrapping around us. I lay lazily in his passenger seat, my back against the inside of the door, my legs sprawled across Eren's lap.
He leans back in his seat, his eyes glinting with mischief, the cigarette perched between his lips like a bad boy in a classic movie. "You know, I've been thinking," he says, his voice low and teasing. "This might be the most rebellious thing we've done all day. Hanging out behind an abandoned building, smoking and being generally shady? I like it."
"Rebellious, huh?" I smirk, glancing over at him. "And here I thought you were just trying to impress me with your 'bad boy' act."
Eren grins, a playful glimmer in his eyes. "What can I say? It's hard not to impress a girl who eats sushi like it's a competitive sport." He shifts a little, making my legs drape more comfortably across his lap, and I feel a flutter of excitement at the intimacy of the position.
I roll my eyes, feigning annoyance. "I'd like to think I'm a connoisseur, not a competitor. But hey, if I can impress you, that's just a bonus."
"Trust me, you impress me every time you open your mouth," he says, letting out a chuckle that sends a shiver down my spine. "Especially when you're talking about food. It's hot."
"Food is hot?" I tease, arching an eyebrow. "I didn't realize we were having a food-themed romance here."
He leans in slightly, the playful banter turning a little more serious as he blows out a puff of smoke. "Not food. You. You're the real deal. But I won't lie; seeing you go crazy over sushi is a major bonus."
I can't help but laugh, feeling a rush of heat to my cheeks. "Wow, smooth talker much? What's next? Are you going to serenade me with love songs about raw fish?"
"Only if you promise to join me. I can already hear the ballads about spicy tuna rolls echoing through the night," he says, his expression turning mock-serious.
"Sounds like a Grammy-worthy performance," I say, rolling my eyes again but unable to hide my smile. "Maybe we should just stick to our current gig of stealing snacks and being delinquent. Less pressure."
"Fair enough. But if we're delinquents, I expect you to be the mastermind behind the operation. I'm just your willing accomplice," he replies, shifting slightly so he can lean closer, our faces inches apart.
"Oh really? And what do you get out of this criminal life?" I ask, my heart racing a little as I gaze into his dark eyes.
He grins, his gaze locking onto mine. "I get to hang out with you, and that's enough for me. Plus, who doesn't want to live on the edge with a girl like you? It's like a wild adventure every day."
"Wow, look at you, pulling out the flattery," I say, trying to maintain my composure while my insides flutter at his words. "But really, it's just me being my fabulous self. You're lucky to be here."
"Oh, I'm definitely lucky," he says, his voice dropping to a more intimate tone. "But I'd say I'm the luckiest guy around just to be close to you like this."
