Third Person POV

Jaxon let out a breath of air as he ran his hands through his hair. He was now with Elena and Rose standing outside of some vampire's apartment.

Elena had texted him saying she has a lead on Klaus and that she needed him so after exchanging numbers with Elijah he went to her.

"Are we sure this is a good idea Elena" he asked and Elena responded, "It is this is the only way we could save everyone we love." Jaxon made a face before sighing and looking away.

Elena gave Rose a look making the older woman sigh and bang on the door yelling "Slater? Slater, it's Rose. Open up!"

There was silence making Rose say "He's not home. Sorry." Elena shook her head as she replied "Mm-mm. No. We didn't come all the way out here for nothing. Now either you do something, or Jaxon does something."

Jaxon made a face before he and Rose shared a look. "What can I say when she's determined she's determined" Jaxon joked before he rose a hand and caused the door to implode.

Elena and Rose jumped while Jaxon simply walked into the place and started to look around. "What do you say Elena should I start up my stealing business again" Jaxon joked as he looked at watches and jewelry.

"No Jaxon we are not here for you to be a criminal we are here to save our friends" Elena stated sternly making Jaxon throw up his hands in defense.

"I don't think he's gonna be much help" Rose said making the longtime friends run over to where she is and see Slater with a stake throw his heart, dead. "Fuck" Jaxon groaned rubbing his heart like if he was staked.

While Rose grabbed and moved the body Jaxon and Elena went over to Slaters computer and papers. "Looks like whoever blew up the coffee shop found him and killed him for his information" Elena said and Jaxon nodded his head in agreement.

"Yeah, probably to stop him from helping people like us. The guy was a vampire almanac. Knowing too much information just bit him in the ass" Rose explained as Jaxon looked through some other papers to try and found anything to help.

Hearing something rip made Jaxon look up and see Rose standing near the window with sunlight directly on her. "Woah hey won't you die" Jaxon asked as he got up and walked over to her.

Rose shook her head, "Tempered glass. U.V. rays can't penetrate. I used to just come here and watch the day." Jaxon paused mid step and let a little smile come on his face before he nodded and walked away.

He went back to the computer and sat down on the chair. "Any luck" Rose asked and Jaxon shook his head saying, "password protected."

"Do you have any idea what the password might be" Elena asked Rose and she shook her head saying "no, alright, let's just go."

Just then a doorknob rattling was heard making everyone jump. Rose walked towards the door and opened it revealing a girl. "What the fuck" Jaxon said as the girl embraced Rose who became rigid.

He watched as the girl cried into Rose's shoulder with a head tilt before he scoffed and went back to the computer and began to try different, random passwords.

Elena went to go help Rose comfort the girl leaving Jaxon to himself. His thoughts went to Rebekah. Even though he didn't want them too he couldn't help it.
