Third Person POV

Jaxon groaned as he opened his eyes and surveyed his surroundings. He was in his room with Michael and Rebekah present as well.

"What the hell happened?" Jaxon inquired, while Rebekah simultaneously asked, "Are you okay, beloved?"

"I'm fine," Jaxon declared, rubbing his head and fixing his gaze on Michael, who replied, "An angel was delivering a message to me. Since you're still adjusting to your powers, your body can't handle certain things yet."

Jaxon ran a hand through his hair before asking, "Well, what was the message?" Rebekah looked to Michael, who said, "I can't say."

"What do you mean you can't say? He passed out because of the message," Rebekah asserted, with Jaxon nodding in agreement.

Michael sighed and replied, "I know, but it's the Lord's plan, and I must not intervene." Rebekah raised an eyebrow and was about to speak, but Jaxon rose from the bed and said, "Fine, whatever."

"Beloved—" Jaxon interrupted Rebekah, "It doesn't matter, Rebekah. He's been God's lapdog since the dawn of time. Besides, I need to prepare for Founder's Day."

Michael shook his head. "We should use this day to train," he said. Jaxon, in turn, shook his head and replied as he pulled out his outfit, "Nope, I'm spending today celebrating my sister's win at Miss Mystic Falls with my friends and Rebekah."

Michael rolled his eyes, muttering about irresponsibility, before teleporting away.

Jaxon then took off his shirt and looked to Rebekah who was staring at his toned upper body. "So are you not gonna go away or turn around" Jaxon asked and Rebekah continued to look at Jaxon's body as she responded, "why should I deny myself the view of such a divine form."

Jaxon's deep blush elicited a smirk from Rebekah before she turned to give him privacy, yet she eagerly anticipated the days when such modesty wouldn't be necessary.

She longed for the time when he would feel comfortable enough to stand bare before her, revealing his deepest desires and secrets. This was among her earliest prayers upon discovering the witchcraft her mother had performed to bind their souls into one.

"You can look now," Jaxon said, pulling Rebekah back from her thoughts. As she turned around, her mouth dropped open in awe.

Jaxon looked handsome, even more so than usual. He appeared as though he belonged to the era his attire represented, where such clothes were the norm for everyone.

In the 1800s, Rebekah was awakened and roamed with her brothers, feeling her heart pulled in many directions. She never pursued these feelings until 1854, when they led her to a woman named Nancy Edwards.

Rebekah understood the significance, despite her brothers' mockery. She knew that Jaxon would descend from her lineage. Upon meeting Nancy, who was already expecting, Rebekah quickly became her friend to remain near.

It might have appeared obsessive, but Rebekah was desperate. Although Nancy gave birth to a girl, leaving Rebekah greatly disappointed, she remained convinced that she was on the correct path and needed to stay close to the family.

By the little girl's third birthday, Rebekah and her brothers were forced to flee, although Rebekah was more reluctant, and it took a dagger threat from her half-brother to motivate her.
