- His Kid -

The next couple of days went by quiet fast.Everyone was doing there part to help out as much as they could.They had recently cleared out the generator room hoping that axel could fix it.

Mallory spent most of the days with Carl trying to cheer him up after his mom had passed which Mallory wasn't great at as she didnt even care about her mother.

Mallory would sit by Carols Grave every day updating her on what was happening and asking her questions about her daughter.She knew she wouldnt get an answer but one day she hopped she would.

Maggie and Beth had made breakfast that morning from the oats they had found in the cafeteria.Beth took care of the baby most days which was really helpful.

'Morning sleepy' Daryl smiled as Mallory walked into the room still trying to tie up her hair. 'Why didnt you wake me' She asked as she went to sit down next to him 'You havent been sleeping great,I was letting you catch up on the sleep you have missed' he whispered before taking a bite of his oats.

'You want something to eat?' Maggie asked about getting up from her seat 'Im ok'  Mallory smiled.

'Everyone, ok?' Rick called out as he slowly walked into the room.Rick would only come check in once a day to see if Carl was ok.

'Yeah we are' Maggie replied, everyone watched as Rick walked slowly towards Carl 'What about you?' Hershel asked. 'I cleared out the bolier block' Rick said nodding his head

'How many were there?' Daryl asked from beside Mallory. 'A dozen? Two dozen? ' He shrugged ' I have to get back just wanted to check on Carl'

'Rick' Glenn called out as he stood up 'We can handle taking out the bodies,You don't have to' Rick shook his head 'No i do' Rick then started to storm towards Daryl and  Mallory.

'Dose everyone had a gun and a kife' Rick asked Daryl 'Everyone but her' Daryl nodded towards Malory 'Where running low on ammo though'

'Me and Maggie were going to make a run after breakfast, we found a phone book with some places we can hit, look for formula bullets and anything else' Glenn answered before Rick could speak.

'We cleared out the generator room too' Mallory spoke up 'Axels in there trying to fix it in case of emergency'

'Good,Get her a gun aswell' was all Rick said before storming out 'Rick!' Hershel called after him but Rick didn't stop. 'I'm going to catch up with him,' Hershel groaned as he stood up and grabbed his crutches. 'Be careful Daddy' Beth called out just before he left the room

'Maggie,Can i tag along with you and Glenn when yous go on your run?' Mallory asked. 'Its ok with me if its ok with Daryl 'Maggie replied taking the last bite of her food. Mallory turned her head and looked up at Daryl waiting for his response.

'Please' She smiled. Daryl let out a soft chuckle 'You stay by there side downt go wandering off'

'I wont let her out of my sight' Glenn said as him and Maggie stood up 'Take this too' Daryl took his gun out of his waistband and handed it to Mallory.

She didn't want to admit she didn't know how to use a gun so istead she said 'Thank you' and took the gun out of Daryls hands before following Maggie and Glenn outside to the car.

Glenn opened the back door for Mallory and she climbed in.Maggie was already waiting in the passengers seat going through the phone book. 'Where to first?' Glenn asked as he got in.

'Theres a store that might have formula and more food not too far?' Maggie suggested 'Lets get going then and be back before dark so Daryl dosent think something happened to his kid' Glenn laughed.

'You really are like his kid' Maggie said looking back at Mallory 'I like to think I am' Mallory said softly making Maggie smile.
