Iris and Toby had now been friends for about a week. They were gonna hangout in a forest today. Since Iris wasn't busy, she had no choice but to hangout with Toby. Toby suggested it, since Slenderman hadn't given him any missions lately. While iris was looking for clothing to wear to the forest, something inside of her told her to wear a dress. Not jeans, not shorts. A dress. She never ever wore dresses, but she pulled a short light green dress. Unsure why, she did so. She put black stockings underneath, and paired the WHOLE outfit with her favorite black boots and a black tight fitted cardigan. She usually always wore a cardigan in winter or colder months, to hide her arms. And in the summer she'd cover her scars with foundation.

Iris was now walking over to a large dark forest where toby was supposed to be. She had a black crossbody bag on, containing a knife, 20$ and water. Very random collection, her bag contained crystals as well. Iris carried the crystals and knife just for safety. There have been murders and kidnappings recently in forests, iris didn't wanna be next. At least she had a friend who carried hatchets around. Toby should keep her safe, they were unofficially friends after all? Oh yeah, Iris and Toby aren't friends. Despite hanging out for a week in iris's words 'We aren't friends, we need to confirm it.' You don't need to confirm being friends with someone, like getting married. As long as you like the person your hanging out with. And iris didn't even know where to begin on romantic relationships, she hadn't dated anyone. She hadn't had a crush since she was 15. Romance was very, VERY out of her comfort zone.

Eventually, Iris reached the forest. She was met with toby, sitting in a tree.

"Damn, you look pretty doll." Toby said eyeing iris up and down. Being called pretty sparked a tiny light of.. something in iris. Something she hasn't felt in years. Being called 'doll' did piss her off though. She wasn't a doll, she was Toby's butterfly. She shouldn't have shoved that nickname away.

Then, iris got a idea for her special nickname to come back, just without sounding so soft and sappy which iris hated.

"Oi." Iris said to get Toby's attention.

"Yeah doll?" Toby spoke again, using THAT nickname that just didn't suit iris.

Iris sighed, before speaking again.

"You can call me b-butterfly. I d-don't like it, b-but y-you can call me THAT." Iris stuttered out.

"R-Really? YAY!" Toby spoke pulling iris's thin body into a hug.

Iris completely froze. She hadn't had a hug, in forever. . It felt weird, her body was stiff and cold as Toby cuddled her

Iris's pale face became painted with a faint pink dust. She was blushing. For the first time, in years.
