Chapter 21 🏚️

A few hours passed by, iris couldn't sleep so she got up to get a drink. She looked through the cupboard for a glass when she heard a thud from her bedroom. That could only be one person.

"TOBY YOU IDIOT!" Iris said abandoning her current task, to go find toby. The truth was, she was very happy that she got to see toby again. Despite being sick, she was still very happy. 

"H-Hey butterfly." Toby said as he climbed through the window.

Toby noticed the dizziness when iris stumbled over. 

"Are y-you tic. alright?" Toby asked.

"F-Fuckin' hell. I f-feel sick, I c-cant r-rest." Iris spoke shaking.

"A-Ah. I u-understand w-what that's like." Toby spoke moving closer to iris.

"W-What are yo-" Before iris could finish her sentence, Toby picked iris up bridal style and laid her down on her bed. 

Then, Toby laid next to her. He grabbed the lilac purple covers and pulled them over him and iris. He usually was pretty much super annoying, or very rude to others. And he was very hard to have a conversation with, because he had a hard time with his emotions. But with iris he was a little bit nicer. Like now, he had wrapped his arm around iris while laying next to her.

Iris was now pressed up against Toby's chest. The smell of blood, cologne and cigarettes filling her nose. Her face went pink. She had not been snuggled like this since she was eight. It was a very weird feeling, having arms wrapping around your body.. it..it was nice. 

"Y-You comfy enough to go to sleep butterfly?" Toby spoke.

Iris didn't speak, she fell asleep almost instantly. Toby's scent was awfully comforting. That's what helped.

{TIMESKIP} 

Iris woke up, toby was up too. He was packing his things. His face was slightly worried.

"B-Buh- Butterfly?" Toby stuttered out fidgeting with his fingers.

"What." Iris spoke coldly, her voice still groggy from waking up.

"..Uhm.. do you wanna come s-somewhere with me?" Toby spoke picking up his bag.

"Uh.. sure?" Iris said skeptically.

"I-It's just.. erm, a trip to the forest tic." Toby spoke, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Okay then." Iris got up, went to the bathroom to change out of her pjs.

Iris went to change into a red flannel, a baggy black shirt, stockings and converse.

"All ready." Iris spoke walking out of the bathroom. 

"Shit- wait." Iris said running back into the bathroom. 

Iris tied her hair into a messy ponytail, then she put a lilac butterfly clip in her brown hair. 

"Done." Iris said walking out of the bathroom again.

"..P-Pretty. Butterfly." Toby mumbled.

"Yeah, yeah. Thanks." Iris said when she heard her sister call for her. 

Iris let out a groan, unlike her other siblings she didn't like this one.

"Be. right. back." Iris said opening the door, and walking to her sisters room.

"What do you want belle." Iris spoke coldly.

"I h-h-heard y-you were going s-somewhere. U-Uh.. c-can I c-come?" Belle stuttered out clinging to her stuffed animal.

".." Iris thought about it for a moment. Then she asked..

"Is dad here?" Iris asked a little curious.

"Mhm. He h-has a day off w-work." Belle spoke. The mention of her dad making her shake.

"Alright, pack a bag." Iris said leaning against the wall.

Belle began to pack a normal sized backpack of blankies, clothes toothbrush and toothpaste. She zipped the bag up and carried her plushie in her arms.

"W-Where are we gonna go?" Belle asked.

"Forest." Iris responded coldly.

"Oki!" Belle said happily. She didn't mind where her and her sister were gonna go, she knew iris would protect her.

Iris and belle began to walk over to iris's room. When iris spoke again.

"Okay, when you get in here don't freak out. It's just my new.. friend." Iris said, the word friend just sort of coming out.

"Oh! Oki! is your new friend coming t-to the forest with us?" Belle asked.

"Yeah. He's comin' too." Iris spoke opening the door to her bedroom.

Once iris opened the door, toby was now in Belle's sight.

"Woah! This is your friend? He's so tall." Belle said looking toby up and down.

"He's not tall, your just short. C'mon toby." Iris said walking out of the front door, not bothering to wait for Toby or her sister.

"IRIS!" Toby said as he ran up to iris.

Belle also walked over to Iris and Toby who were exiting the front door, iris already down the wooden staircase. 

"H-Hey wait for me!" Belle said catching up to the two.

Toby, Iris and Belle began to walk over to the forest. Toby was leading the two girls, over to a mansion. Toby was fidgeting with his fingers. Despite being very smart, iris was pretty stupid in this moment. She thought that mansion was abandoned. Till she saw a 7FT tall creature. It had no face, no eyes no nose. No nothing. Iris thought she was seeing things, cause when she turned her head again it was gone. 

Eventually the trio reached the mansion.
