It was now the next morning, Toby had woken Iris up and left belle asleep. Iris was clinging to toby, despite acting like a fuckin' bitch, Iris still felt safe with him. She was still acting cold hearted and mean, unlike last night but she was acting like that to protect herself. These people in this house could be really dangerous, she needed to protect belle too. Anyways, Iris was now gonna go sit at a table with people she didn't know. She was gonna have to, she needs food.
"..d-do.. you h-have w-waffles..?" iris asked toby softly.
"Yeah! We have waffles! C'mon." Toby said taking iris hand, iris's thin fingers intertwining with his.
Eventually, the two reached the kitchen. Toby pulled a box of frozen waffles out of the cupboard, handing them to iris. Who's hair was messy and disheveled.
"I'm not a huge fan of waffles, but you can have them butterfly." Toby spoke.
"..t-thanks." Iris spoke softly. She was still thinking about last night, and that creature she saw which made all of her emotions explode, making her go into a full blown panic attack.
"Your welcome, I c-can h-heat t-them up." Toby said taking the box of frozen waffles from iris's hands. He got two waffles out, and put them into the toaster.
Iris shuffled closer to toby.
"G-Go s-s-sit d-down." Toby said.
"n-no. I wanna s-stay w-with you-" Iris whined, the words coming out before she could think.
"hm, a-alright then." Toby said putting an arm around iris.
Iris was still refusing to admit her feelings for toby. Her and Toby had snuggled a lot, but iris thought that didn't mean anything. She used to cuddle with all her friends, but the things she felt when she was doing that with Toby confused her. They were things she felt when she was 15, and she.. no. Toby was her friend, she didn't date anymore.
Eventually iris's waffles popped up. She took two of them, a butterknife and Nutella on the waffles.
Toby didn't leave Iris's side, he actually didn't mind staying near a pretty girl. Despite her being weird. Iris began to eat her waffles, her eyes red from crying. The red on her eyes sticking out against her pale skin. She looked very pretty like that.
Toby led iris to sit at the table, were some of the others were sitting. Iris was trying to keep her cold persona up, it was really hard to do because of how scared she was. She missed her friends, her school.. all the places she'd visit. God knows when she'd leave this place. She hadn't cried that much since charlotte died.
Iris sat down. She tucked her knees up, her head resting on her knees so no one could see her red puffy face.
She rolled her sleeves down, so no one would pay attention to her arms. Like they would pay attention to her at all, she was silent. Toby sat next to iris, noticing how she was hiding her face.
The others began doing their normal tasks, some smoking, some eating breakfast.. iris was cuddled up to toby with a grumpy expression on her face. She loved cuddling with toby, she was acting like she didn't. Her resting bitch face helped keep her grumpy persona up.
The truth is, iris really loved Toby. Too stubborn to admit it.
