Aliyah was still sitting in her room with her head buried in her knees. His eyes were hurting with those unshed tears. She wanted to cry out loud and wanted to complain about how much she craves for love in these 2 years. But her self-esteem told her not to cry for those who don't even care for her; she never hated them, but these 2 years of distance with them have made her go emotionless for them. She was now determined to give all her love to the family who really care for her, her future in-law's, and most importantly, her fiance. She stood up in front of the mirror, fixing her dishevelled state; just then she heard a knock. Her jaw clenched, thinking the one on the other side to be her mom.

She muttered some words in her mind before opening the door of the room. Much to her shock, the person in front of her was not whom she expected; instead, there stood her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, who were smiling at her. A small smile appeared on her lips as soon as she saw them standing there admiring her like she was some queen. Aashika quickly embraced her and jumped in excitement, making Aliyah chuckle unknowingly.

"You are looking so beautiful," Aashika said, squealing happily around Aliyah. While her mother-in-law hugged her.

Aliyah muttered a small thank you while her mother-in-law placed a kajal dot behind her ear, keeping all the evil eyes away from her.

"May God keep all evil eyes away from both my daughters," Sakshi said, making both of them smile at her.

"But you both here. I mean, I didn't expect," Aliyah asked, being confused.

"Oh, your mom called you a few minutes ago, but we noticed that both your mom and Bhabhi are busy, so we came here to take you down." Aashika told her, which somewhere made her emotional.

"Lets go bacche; everyone is waiting down for you," Sakshi told her.

"Yes, especially Shiavnsh Bhai is too restless." Aashika teased, making Aliyah go all red, while the other two giggled. Something hit Aliyah in an instant, and she looked towards Sakshi, making her go confused with her changed behaviour.

"Maa, my dupatta, can you fix it? I am unable to pin it from the back," Aliyah asked, to which Sakshi smiled. She helped Aliyah with her dupatta.

As soon as they were about to leave, they heard a bark. The trio looked at their backs, where fluffy was standing, glancing at the girls with her cute doe eyes, which made them chuckle at them. Sakshi paced towards him and rubbed his back, making him wiggle his tail, feeling happy to get some attention, and started licking her hand, making the other two ladies chuckle at him.

"Oh, so baby boy needed some attention. But fluffy, would you accompany your mom on her engagement?" Sakshi playfully asked him, which made him whin with the thought of being away from his favourite person.

He barked lowly as if he were trying to convey that he needed to go with his mom and quickly ran towards Aliyah, grabbing her dupatta in his mouth while Aliyah patted his back, making him more happy.

"Buddy, stop tapping your feet continuously; the floor beneath will sink with your aggressive taps. Have some mercy on the poor floor." Dhruv stated playfully, making a restless Shivansh shot a glare at him. While his father and brother laugh silently, seeing him so restless.

"Stop making those stupid jokes, or..." Shivansh warned him, but he stood firm in place.

"Or..?" Dhruv asked playfully, making Shivansh cruse him in a low tone while the later one enjoyed.

Their banter came to an end when they heard slow footsteps. Shiavnsh's head snapped instantly towards the source of sound, and his heart started beating faster. The faint voice of his heart was loud enough to be heard by the one standing beside him, making them look up towards the stairs.
