Chapter 11: The First Date

The morning sun poured into Y/N’s hotel room, casting a golden glow over everything it touched. She stirred awake, a smile creeping onto her face as she recalled the conversation with Dua from the night before. The thrill of their shared confessions lingered, filling her with excitement and nervous anticipation for what was to come.

Today was the day of their first official date, a moment that felt monumental in the evolving tapestry of their relationship. Y/N threw off her blankets and sat up, her mind racing with thoughts of how to make the day special. After a quick shower, she stood in front of the mirror, contemplating her outfit. She wanted to look good but also feel comfortable—something that reflected her personality while still being stylish.

After rummaging through her suitcase, she settled on a soft, flowy dress that flattered her figure and complemented her playful nature. Paired with a denim jacket and cute ankle boots, she felt confident and ready to take on the day.

As she finished getting ready, her phone buzzed on the nightstand. It was a message from Dua, and her heart raced as she picked it up.

Dua: Can’t wait to see you! I have a surprise planned for our date!

Y/N’s curiosity piqued. She loved surprises, especially when they came from Dua. She quickly typed back, her fingers flying over the screen.

Y/N: What is it? You know I can’t handle surprises!

Dua: You’ll just have to trust me! I promise it’ll be worth it. Meet me at Central Park at 2?

Y/N smiled, a flutter of excitement building in her chest. “Central Park? This is going to be magical,” she whispered to herself as she grabbed her bag and headed out.

The ride to Central Park was filled with anticipation. Y/N arrived early and decided to take a leisurely stroll through the park while she waited for Dua. The sun beamed down, and the park was alive with people enjoying the day—families picnicking, couples strolling hand in hand, and children running around with kites. It was the perfect backdrop for a date.

Y/N found a lovely spot by the Bethesda Fountain, where she sat and admired the beauty around her. As she waited, her mind wandered to the moments they had shared—laughter, food, and the confession that had shifted their relationship. She could hardly believe how quickly things had progressed.

At exactly 2 p.m., Y/N spotted Dua approaching, a radiant smile lighting up her face. She wore a vibrant sundress that swayed with every step, complementing the warm weather and her lively spirit. Y/N's breath caught in her throat at how effortlessly beautiful Dua looked.

“Hey there!” Dua called out, waving as she walked closer. “You look stunning!”

“Thanks! So do you!” Y/N replied, her cheeks flushing with warmth. “What’s the surprise?”

Dua grinned mischievously. “Patience! We’re starting with a little picnic.”

Y/N’s eyes widened in delight. “A picnic? That sounds amazing!”

Dua led Y/N to a cozy spot under a large oak tree, where a colorful blanket was already spread out. A wicker basket sat in the center, and Y/N could see a variety of goodies peeking out.

“Wow, you really went all out!” Y/N exclaimed as they sat down. “What did you bring?”

Dua opened the basket, revealing an array of delicious treats: sandwiches, fresh fruit, artisanal cheeses, and even some chocolate-covered strawberries. “I thought we could have a mini feast. And of course, I had to bring dessert!”
