FIENNA SAREM TOMAS'S POV
I was just sitting beside his bed when I felt his hands patting my head. I looked up to see Kai smiling widely at me.
Kahit na may nangyari nang masama sakanya, he was still able to give me a big smile as if what happened is just a little inconvenience.
"Did you get nervous?" That's the first thing he muttered.
He knows my trauma when it comes to injuries kaya ganyan nalang ang una nyang natanong.
"Who wouldn't be?" He chuckled at my response.
I leaned in closer to kiss him, I just want him to know that I love him. Although he knows that already.
"This is gonna be a tough path," He commented, and he's absolutely right.
Gaining strength after an injury is really tough. Well, this is Kai so I know that he will heal in no time.
His eyes suddenly looked at me, I saw a hint of disappointment in his eyes. What is he disappointed of? "I might need to postpone my proposal for you,".
I gave a slight smile, all I want for now is for him to be ok. That ring will make its way on my finger when it is the right time.
"No worries, all you have to focus on is your recovery. After that we can talk about your proposal" I gave him a reassuring smile.
I felt his hands squeeze mine, and when I look up again to him his eyes were a bit teary. I've never seen Kai so emotional.
It made me want to cry too. But Kai don't need someone to be weak in front of him now, he needs an inspiration to keep going.
Something I didn't have before.
"It will be ok baby," I kiss his forehead before gently resting on it.
He closed his eyes as his tears made its way to his cheeks. "I won't leave you, shush now" Bulong ko sa kanya.
He nods his head, a few minutes after that he fell asleep again.
Nakatitig lang ako sa payapa nyang pagtulog ng dumating si coach Bry, kasama nito si Aoki na naka jersey pa rin.
I can see the load of worry in their eyes, "How is he?" Coach Bry asked.
"He's just resting for now, the doctor said that it was a severe ankle injury." He heaved a sigh of relief after hearing that.
"We're still waiting for his X-ray result to see if there's any broken bone" Tumango naman si coach Bry sa'kin bago lumapit kay Kai.
I gave him space, the way he looks at Kai with so much tenderness tells me how much he treats him like his own son.
All of them are.
Aoki on the other hand just looks at Kai for a moment, "This is nothing," He told to himself.
Totoo naman, hindi ang injury ang pinaka masakit na parte nang laban na 'to. It was the fact that Kai is almost at the peak of reaching his dreams.
Hindi sigurado kung sasakto ang full recovery nya bago sumapit ang olympics.
"He have to go to the olympics," He mumbles again.
I patted him on the shoulder, "He will". If not now, Kai still have a lot of years behind him.
Umalis muna ako sa kwarto para bigyan sila ng time na makapagusap, I went to buy some water for them.
Sa itsura kasi nila halatang kakatapos lang ng laro at dito agad sila dumiretso. I still don't know the result of the game.
When I look it up, gladly it was them.
