Next day :
Aashish POV :
I woke up to my alarm blaring at 6:30 AM. Groggy but determined, I got up and started getting ready. As I was fixing my hair, my phone rang. It was Mom.
( This is the dress which he have weared)
"Hello, Mom! How are you?" I answered, trying to sound cheerful.
"I'm good! What about you? How come you woke up so early?" she asked, her voice warm.
"I'm also good. I'm going out with my friends, that's why I woke up early," I replied, hoping to keep things casual.
"Okay, I just wanted to inform you that we're coming tomorrow morning, okay?" she said, and my heart dropped. They didn't know about Pooja staying over.
"Wait, what? Tomorrow?" I stammered, panic rising in my chest.
"Hello? Aashish, are you there?" Mom's voice broke through my thoughts.
"Yes, Mom, I'm here. You come safely, and bye!" I rushed out, trying to end the call before she sensed my anxiety.
"Okay, bye!" she said, and the call was ended.
I was sitting on my bed , totally lost in my thoughts. How was I going to tell my parents that Pooja was going to stay here until she finished her college? It felt like a huge weight on my shoulders. I pushed the thought aside and headed to the living room.
As I walked in, I saw Pooja on a call. "Okay, bye, Mom..." she said, and my heart skipped a beat. For a second, I thought, is she talking to her boyfriend? No way! I shook my head, trying to clear those thoughts.
"Aashish!" Pooja called out, pulling me back to reality. "If you're ready, let's go!" She was still looking at her phone, not even glancing at me. What the heck? This is so unfair, I thought.
"Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go!" I replied, trying to sound enthusiastic. I opened the car door for her. "Thanks!" she said as she slid into the seat. I climbed into the driver's seat and started the engine, feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety.
As I drove, my mind was racing. I glanced over at Pooja, who was still focused on her phone. I couldn't shake off the worry from the call with my mom. Should I tell her about Pooja?
"Hey, Pooja," I said, trying to break the silence. "So, um, my parents are coming tomorrow."
She looked up, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, really? That's cool. Are they excited?"
"Yeah, but there's something I need to tell them," I replied, my heart pounding. "You know, about you staying here."
Pooja paused, her expression turning serious. "Aashish, do you think that's a good idea? What if they don't take it well?"
I sighed, gripping the steering wheel tighter. "I know, but I can't keep it a secret. They might find out anyway. I just... I don't know how to say it."
