Aashish POV :
After sleeping for 3 hours, I woke up and looked at the clock; it showed 8:00 pm. I slowly tried to move, being careful not to wake her, but she stirred and apologized, saying she had slept on my shoulder. I reassured her, "You don't have to be sorry for that, it's okay."
She seemed concerned, "It must be paining now, I slept for 3 hours on your shoulder." I smiled and replied while plugging in my phone to charge, "No, it's totally fine, don't worry about it." The moment felt cozy and comforting, and I was grateful for her presence, even if it meant a little shoulder ache.
"Really, it's all good," I said, trying to ease her worries. "I could use a little break anyway. Plus, having you here makes it worth it."
She smiled, a little shyly, and I could see the warmth in her eyes. "I didn't mean to fall asleep, but I guess I was just really comfortable," she admitted, stretching slightly as she sat up.
I chuckled softly, "Well, I'm glad you felt comfortable. That's what friends are for, right?" I glanced at my phone, noticing a few notifications lighting up the screen. "What do you want to do now? We could grab something to eat or just chill for a bit."
Her expression brightened at the suggestion. "Food sounds great! I'm starving," she said, and I couldn't help but laugh. It was nice to see her so relaxed. "Alright, let's go then. I know a place that has the best snacks!"
She said, "I don't want to go outside," as we stood by the door. I could sense a hint of hesitation in her voice.
Understanding her feelings, I replied, "That's totally fine. We can stay in and make some delicious food instead. How about we have a cozy indoor picnic?"
Her face lit up at the idea, and she nodded eagerly. "That sounds perfect! Let's make it a comfy night in."
After deciding to stay in, we headed to the kitchen and started cooking together. It was a fun experience; we laughed while chopping vegetables and trying to follow the recipe. The aroma of the food filled the air, making us even hungrier.
Once dinner was ready, we set the table and enjoyed our meal, sharing stories and jokes. It felt nice to bond over cooking, and by the end of it, we were both satisfied and happy.
After dinner, we cleaned up the kitchen together, and then we said our goodnights. As we headed to our respective rooms, I felt grateful for the time we spent together. It was a perfect way to end the day.
