My eyes opened to the sound of the alarm. It is my first day in NIFT university, and I am a bit nervous. I quickly got ready, packed my bag, and grabbed my phone charger,kept in my bag . As soon as I unlocked my phone, I saw a message from Karan: "All the best for your NIFT and first day, don't get nervous, you can do it. If you need help, just ask someone, okay?" His message made me feel really good; he's so sweet!

I went to the kitchen, where uncle is reading the newspaper, and aunt is making breakfast. I greeted them with a good morning and Uncle asked, "Are you going somewhere, dear?" While filling my water bottle, I said, "Yes, uncle, I'm going to university." Uncle replied, "Oh, okay dear!" Then I zipped up my bag and went to the living room to place it down.
Aunt called me, "Pooja, come and have some breakfast, dear." I said, "Yes, aunty, I'm coming!" After closing the water bottle, I went to the kitchen and sat on a chair. I started eating upma and said, "Aunty, this upma is really good." Aunt smiled and replied, "Thanks, dear."
After a while, Aashish came in with messy hair, looking a bit sleepy, with his hands in his pockets. He sat down at the table and asked, "What's for breakfast?" Then he rested his head on his hands. I found him cute. Aunt said, "First go wash your face and brush your teeth; then you can eat." Aashish looked up and said, "Mommm, please!" Aunt replied, "No means no, go!"Watching their antics made me laugh.
I looked at my watch, and it showed 8:35 AM. I thought to myself, if I don't leave now, I might miss the auto and be late for university. I got up and said, "Uncle, Aunty, I'm going now, okay?"
Aashish shot up his head and asked, "Where are you going? This early?" I replied, "I'm going to university. I told you, remember?" He nodded his head, but I could see the curiosity in his eyes. Aunty chimed in, "How will you go?" Uncle nodded in agreement, and Aashish just looked at me, waiting for my answer.
I said, "I'll either walk or take an auto if I can find one." But before I could finish, Uncle interrupted, folding his newspaper. "Aashish will drop you to university." I was about to say no when Aunty added, "We won't hear a 'no' from you! Aashish, go get ready quickly!"
Aashish nodded his head and dashed off to his room. I sighed, knowing I had no choice in the matter. While waiting for him, I went to the living room and turned on the TV to watch Tom and Jerry. It always made me laugh and helped ease my nerves for the day ahead.

I quickly took a bath and got ready, feeling a bit rushed but excited to drop Pooja at university. I grabbed the car keys and stepped out of my room. As I walked into the living room, I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw Pooja completely focused on the TV.
