𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐤Aurora was awoken by a pillow being thrown at her. She groaned and covered her eyes. "Get up." John spoke. She hummed. "Why?" She asked. John moved to the curtains and pulled them open. "You've got somewhere to be." He said.
She sat up and looked at him. "Where?"
"Doesn't matter where. Just get up— Tommy's orders." He told her.
Aurora scoffed and threw herself back down into the pillow. "Tommy's orders." She mocked, rubbing her eyes. John waited at the door and she slowly uncovered one eye. "You're not leaving until i'm up, are you?"
John shook his head. "No."
With a loud, dramatic groan, she sat up. "Fine!" She huffed, climbing out of bed. "You can leave now."
"If you ain't downstairs in ten minutes then i'm coming back up." He warned with a pointed finger. "Yeah whatever." She whispered, waiting for the door to close before finding clothes to wear.
Tommy's orders. Tommy's orders. Always Tommy's bloody orders.
Some time passed and Rory heard loud footsteps coming up the stairs and approaching her room. "I'm fucking ready calm down!" She shouted before John could open the door. The door didn't open. She sighed and slipped on her shoes, twisting the door handle and opening it herself.
"See." She said with raised brows.John gave her a once over. "Alright, come on. We need to go." He said.
She followed him down the stairs where Arthur was waiting and she frowned. "What exactly were Tommy's orders for today, John." She said cautiously. "Because I don't think Tommy will be having me apart of any order that involved the two of you."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Arthur asked. John grinned and threw an arm over her shoulder. "It's alright, Angel. We'll make sure you don't get dirty." He assured.
Her eyebrows raised even further. "I'm getting the feeling that whatever you plan on doing today is not good." She said. "Are you sure Tommy said i'm to be involved?"
John looked at Arthur, second guessing himself. "I think so.. I mean— he was rushing over the phone so.."
Aurora snapped her head toward him. "So call him again." She ordered. Arthur looked away when John turned to him for help. John huffed and stormed to the phone, dialling the number to Arrow House and waiting. It rang. And rang. "Hello?"
"Tommy, you did say to involve Rory today, didn't you?"
"What?" Tommy asked lowly. "When you called me. You did say to take Rory with us today for the business with Mr Changretta." He said quietly. "What are you talking about, brother?" Tommy said impatiently. "I told you not to take her. Why would I tell you otherwise? That puts her in danger, John."
John's lips parted. "Right, yeah. Just checking. Thanks Tommy." He said quickly to put the phone down. "He's changed his mind." He lied to Rory and Arthur.
Aurora crossed her arms over her chest and nodded slowly. "Changed his mind or you got it wrong?"
"Shut up." He hissed. She grinned to herself and shrugged. "Okay. I suppose you'll be on your way then." She dismissed, watching them slowly leave the house. She laughed to herself and fell down onto the couch tiredly. "Woke me up for nothing.."
