The moment Zack peeks around the corner, he sees a little girl with two tusks and nineteen eyeballs scattered across her face.
???: Mommy...? Is that you...?
Zack: There's no way... This can't be the kid!
???: That voice... You're not my mommy... Who are you?
Zack hesitantly holds the little girl's hands reassuringly.
Zack: My name is Zack Costa. Don't worry. I'm a good guy!
???: To me... You look like a monster...
Zack: "I look like a monster...?"
He thought.
Zack: Anyway, C'mon! I can take you back to your mommy!
The little girl's nineteen eyes sparkle with hope.
???: You mean it...? You can?
Zack: Of course! Just follow me, and I'll make sure you get home!
???: Really...?
Zack: Of course!
GRAAAAHHHHH!!!
Zack: Is that her?
???: It is! Mommy!
The little girl runs into the creature's path.
Zack: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait!!!
*Running*
Zack: Idiot!
FWOOSH!!!
Zack: I'm an idiot...!
CRASH!!!
Zack pushes the little girl away from the creature. Zack gets stomped on.
The creature scrambles away.
*Walking*
???: Sir...? Zack Costa? Are you okay?
...
???: Hello...?
. . .
???: Ah! He died! What should I do?! Maybe... I think I learned in school that if you feed yourself to a dead person, they will be revived... But that was never proven... Do I take the risk...? Ah, whatever! Please forgive me... Zack Costa...
BREAK!!!
The little girl breaks Zack's jaw. And forces herself into his mouth. Allowing him to eat her...
???: I hope this works..... Mommy... You can forget about me...
Soon, the little girl makes it to Zack's stomach, allowing herself to melt inside of his stomach acid.
A few minutes later...
*Running*
Akiko: Zack!!! Did you find the kid?! Zack!!!
TRIP!!!
THUD!!!
Akiko trips and faceplants on the road.
Akiko: Ouch ouch ouch... What was... That...?
Akiko sees Zack's lifeless corpse.
Akiko: Oh... That's what...

Zack opens his eyes.
Zack: Hm...? What... just happened?
KNOCK!!!
KNOCK!!!
???: Can I come in?
Zack: Sure.
Zack's sister Katie walks into the room.
Katie: Hey, how are you?
Zack: I'm fine... I just had a really weird dream.
Katie: Oh? What was it about?
Zack: A lot of things... But mostly just giant monsters.
Katie: Really?
Zack: Yeah...
Katie: Huh... So, a nightmare?
...
Zack: Something like that. Anyway, did you need something?
Katie: Oh yeah! You just missed the bus.
...
Zack: Shit!!! Why didn't you wake me up sooner?!
Katie: I wasn't here!
Zack: Okay?! I've got to go bye!
Katie: Yeah...
Zack runs outside and runs to his school.
*Running*
Zack: The sky is back to normal... And the weather is cool... Thank God...
