Zack slowly opens his eyes.
???: He's waking up!
Zack: Ka... Katie?
Katie: Yeah It's me! You're finally awake!
Zack: Hm...? But where's Akiko and those girls...?
Katie: Who?

Zack: Never mind... Where am I...?
Katie: In the hospital... You've been asleep for a year!
Zack: A year...?
Katie: That's right... You missed your twentieth birthday!
Zack: Oh... Okay...? Where's Mom? What about Dad?
...
Zack: Oi, what happened?
A few minutes later...
Zack: Geez, you made it seem like they died!
Katie: My bad.
Zack: So they're just on a trip?
Katie: Yep. They should be back tomorrow or something like that.
Zack: Well, that's good...
Katie: So what was it like to be in a coma?
...
Zack: Horrible... Let's leave it at that...
Katie: Okay...? Anyway, I can't wait for you to come back home!
Zack: Yeah... I can't wait either...
Katie: Oh! You've got a letter from mom and dad. I almost forgot...
Zack: I do?
Katie: Yep, here.
Katie holds an envelope out towards Zack. He opens the envelope and sees a picture of his parents with a big smile on both of their faces.
"We love you! -Mom and Dad"

Zack stares at the picture.
"Do you... Miss your family?"
"I see... Well, I don't know how long you've been here... but me... it's been years... and I finally died... Will... *Sniffle* Will I be forgotten...?"
...
Zack: "No... Even now... I remember you, Ashley... You'll never be forgotten... I love you."
He thought.
Zack feels happy to be back home and in the real world. Of course, he's a little confused and lost, but that should be expected. Needless to say, he was happy.
