Zack: Do I miss my family? I don't know... I never really thought about it.
Ashley: Oh... Okay...
Zack: But that doesn't mean I don't miss them! I tend to get a little homesick... "Yeah, let's just lie to her face! Great idea dumbass!!!"
He thought.
Ashley: I see... Well, I don't know how long you've been here... but me... it's been years... and I finally died... Will... *Sniffle* Will I be forgotten...?
Zack: Forgotten...? No... You won't be forgotten! Even if your family does, there's someone who never will!
Ashley: Huh...?
Zack: That someone is me! Since you're inside of my mind, there's no way I could ever forget you! So don't worry. You won't fade away.
Tears start streaming down Ashley's face.
Ashley: Zack... Thank you...
Zack: Ah... Yeah, sure...
After a while, the two walk back to their rooms.
Ashley: Goodnight!
Zack: Yeah, see you tomorrow!
Ashley walks into her room and shuts the door.
Zack: My family...? Nah, I don't miss them that much.
Zack walks into his room and shuts the door.
Zack: Gah... I'm so tired...
Zack plops down in his bed.
Zack: This world is... It's so exhausting...
Zack falls asleep.
Start Part B
The next morning...
Zack slowly opens his eyes and sees the creature staring into his window.
Zack: What the fuck?! How does it know I'm here?! Why?!
Ashley runs into the room.
Ashley: Zack, what is that thing?! Why is it here?!
...
Zack: It's apparently a mother who lost something important to her.... After she lost it, she mutated into this thing!
Ashley: Huh...? Was it a pet or something?
Zack: No... It was her daughter... Then something else happened... Now she won't ever see her again...
Ashley: So...
Zack: Her looking is useless! She just doesn't understand that!
Ashley: What do we...?
Zack: I don't know... I just... I want to help her... But... I have no idea what happened to her kid...
...
Zack thinks for a moment.
Zack: I have to tell her...
Ashley: Huh?
Zack: I have to tell her that her kid may be dead.
Ashley: Is that really a good idea?!
Zack: Not at all. But I have no reason to lie.
Ashley: W-wait for me!
Ashley follows close behind Zack. The two make their way outside of the apartment complex, the creature watching their every move.
Zack and Ashley stare up at the creature.
