After my mom's cries died down, she came upstairs and knocked on my door. "Lixie bear?" She opened my door and looked around. When she found me under my covers, she walked over and sat on the edge of my bed. "Oh, Lixie. I am so sorry."

I looked out from my blankets with red eyes. "Why, momma? Why did this have to happen to me?" I cried, and she took my small frame into her arms, hugging me with all her might.

"I'm so sorry, my sweet boy. I'm sorry your sister has been so selfish. This should never have happened." Her voice cracked.

I broke the hug, "Mom, please, I have to go. I don't want to be forced to mate or mark Taylor. Please." I begged.

"Where?" She asked, wiping her tears.

"I don't know, but I need to get out of Australia. It's not safe for me anymore."

She leaned in to hug me once more, whispering, "My purse is on the island in the kitchen. Get into my wallet, the fourth card down, take it. And call me when you get somewhere safe, please." She paused. "I love you, my sweet Lixie bear." She broke the hug, and I could see fresh tears quietly falling from her eyes.

"I love you, momma bear." I replied, whispering quietly as she walked to my door, looking at me one last time, like she would never see me again.

When she left, it was quiet before I thought about what she said. Did she really just tell me to take her credit card so I can escape? Oh my gosh, my mother really is the best.

It was only 10 pm, but I quietly gathered my clothes into my suitcase and threw in some pictures of my family. When I had everything together, I tiptoed down the stairs as sneakily as I could. I made it to the kitchen and got into my mom's purse, pulling out her wallet, and noting the 4th card down was missing. I frowned. Why would she tell me to take it if it wasn't there?

"Looking for this?" I spun around at the voice of my father. He held the credit card in between his first and middle finger.

"Dad.." I said, shocked.

"Felix, I am so sorry for what happened. I don't know what's gotten into Rachel. I understand you want to leave but you need to promise me that you'll go somewhere safe." He walked towards me and caressed my shoulders.

"Yes, but I don't know where I'm going yet." I answered honestly.

He hummed, "Go to Seoul. My parents, your grandma and grandpa are there. They will keep you safe and protect you."

My eyes widened. "Okay.." I whispered.

With my agreement, my dad hugged me tight, and I hugged back. He wasn't really an emotional person, so I always took what I was able to get from him. He broke the hug and handed me my mom's card along with his spare credit card. "Take my card, too. Just in case something were to happen."

I took both cards that he handed me and put them in my wallet.

"Do you need me to drive you to the airport, son?"

"That would be helpful." Was all I could say.

"Then, let's go." He grabbed my luggage for me, and we quietly walked out the door, but not before I heard rushing footsteps and felt Olivia engulf me with her arms.

"Lix!" She cried. "I'm going to miss you so much!" I hugged her back, trying not to cry again.

"I'll miss you, too, Livie." I whispered. "But I have to go now. I love you." We looked at each other, and then I walked to the car where my dad was waiting. I get in, and he drives me to the nearest airport.

Once we said our quick goodbye, I was inside and walking up to the front desk. "Hello, when's the next flight to Seoul?"

The lady looked to her computer and clicked a few things. "The next flight is in an hour, and boarding will be in about 30 minutes."

I smiled, "Perfect. One flight for Seoul, please."

"Okay." She smiled back and started getting my information together. I paid and went to take my luggage to the check-in counter and then went to sit down until my flight was called.

It was a short wait, and I was so thankful. The less amount of time I had to be in Sydney, the better. I'm going to miss my home, my family, but I know I'll have better chances of having a happier life somewhere else.

As the plane ascended into the night sky, I looked out the small, oval window and quietly said to myself, "I, Felix Lee, break all ties with the White Pine pack of Sydney, Australia." And as if on queue, I felt the bond to my pack break, and it felt like a weight had lifted off of my shoulders. I smiled a little and rested my head on the seat. In no time, my eyes started closing as I floated into dreamland.

I woke up to the voice of the flight attendant speaking over the intercom, letting all the passengers know that we were arriving at our destination and we needed to buckle up.

Once I was off the plane, I went to the baggage claim to pick up my luggage and then to sit down. The flight was long, and I slept through it all.

Thankfully, it was early in the morning, so I had time to rest for a little bit. I decided to get a hotel room for the day and then head over to my grandparent's house tomorrow.

The hotel was nice but not too expensive. I figured I could call my parents to let them know I made it safe to Seoul. I had a fleeting thought of if using my cell phone was actually safe or not. I decided to go ahead and turn my phone off, and go buy another one, just to be sure. I wanted to take all the safety precautions I could.

Once I got a new phone using the bit of Korean my parents taught me, I walked around outside the city and came to a park. Sitting on an unoccupied bench, I took out my phone and dialed my mother's number. It rang a few times but she answered, "Hello?"

"Momma?" I inquired.

"Lixie bear! Oh, I miss you. Did you make it safely to Korea? Are you at your grandparent's house yet?" I smiled at her caring demeanor.

"Yes, I made it safe, but I haven't gone to see my grandparents, yet. I'm staying at a local hotel. I got a new phone and turned my old one off for now."

"Okay, dear. Thank you for letting me know." She paused, "We miss you so much already, my sweet boy."

"I miss you, too, momma bear. I love you."

"And I love you, Lixie. I have to go, but please call or text me later. Okay, baby?"

"Okay, momma. Talk to you later. Bye."

"Bye, Lixie."

With tears in my eyes, I hung up the phone and looked around. It sure is pretty in Seoul. I get up from the bench and go to walk out of the park to find something to eat and then head back to the hotel to rest. Even though I slept the whole 10 and a half hours of the plane ride.

I guess being an omega means you're like a permanently exhausted pigeon..
