I made sure to make myself look presentable when Hyunjin got here to help me with grocery shopping. I know it's not a date, but since I learned that we are mated earlier today, I have been thinking about him almost non-stop, and I wanted to look at least decent for him.

He seems like a nice guy and not at all like Taylor. Then again, Taylor seemed nice in the beginning, too.

I guess only time will tell.

When I heard a knock at the front door, I opened it to reveal my al- Hyunjin. I smiled. I looked him up and down, and it seemed like he had been crying a little if his pink, puffy cheeks were anything to go by.

Should I ask if he is alright? Would that be okay?

I don't want him to think I'm nosey, though.

Despite my thoughts, I asked the question anyway. "Are you okay, hyung?" He seemed caught off guard by the question, and I only hoped he answered honestly.

"Hmm, yeah. I'm okay."

Well, that didn't help.

I decided to let it go as I didn't want to make my new ma- Hyunjin uncomfortable.

"You ready to go?" The alpha asked. I nodded and grabbed the spare key to lock the door. "Do you have any spare keys?" He asked.

I looked at him and tilted my head. "This is the spare key.."

"Oh, well, let's get some extras made just in case. You never know when you'll need one."

I followed the alpha to a car that I assumed was his. He held the passenger door open for me as I got in and then closed the door. I buckled myself in as he rounded the car and got in himself. The engine roared to life, and we were on our way to the store. I didn't know much about Seoul other than a little bit of the language since my grandparents lived here, so I was glad that Hyunjin wanted to come with me.

The ride was silent, and I wasn't sure if I should talk to him or keep quiet the rest of the way. It wasn't awkward at first, but the air started to feel constricting after a while of no talking.

He said he wanted to get to know me. Would that be a good starting point for a conversation?

I turned my head from looking out the window to look at the handsome alpha beside me, concentrating on the road.

"So.." I started off, "You said you wanted to get to know me..." The alpha nodded and hummed. "Anything specific you'd like to know?" I asked.

He thought for a moment before he spoke up. "I'll listen to whatever you want to tell me, Felix." He smiled shyly, and it was the cutest thing I'd ever seen! Who knew alpha's could be shy and cute?! I wanted to squeal, but I kept that to myself.

"Why are you smiling like that?" Hyunjin asked.

Shit! I'm smiling?! Since when? I don't want him to think I was laughing at what he said.

Oh goddess, I just thought he was cute.

"I.. um.." I didn't know how to answer him. "I just thought you were cute." I mumbled.

"You thought I was cute?" He asked, curious.

"Yeah, I didn't know alphas could be cute." I said softly.
