Chapter 6

Hyunjin POV:

"YOU WHAT?!" All of my mates shouted at once. I know they were shocked as I had never imprinted on any of my omega mates before, or anyone for that matter. Felix is my first.

Chan took the reigns when everyone started speaking at once, and the volume rose quite a bit. "YAH!" Everyone quieted down and listened to what the leader had to say. "Let Hyunjin talk, and nobody will interrupt him." He looked to Jisung sitting in his lap, "We can ask questions after he's done." Jisung pouted and looked away.

"Thank you, Chan." I replied.

"You're welcome. Now tell us what happened." The alpha said calmly.

I told them about Felix and what happened with him and about my imprinting the omega, the feelings I got. I told them about finding out how Felix and I are mates but also about his reaction. "He didn't seem too thrilled. He actually cried.." I thought for a second. "I bet he had that reaction because of the situation he said he was in."

"What situation?" Seungmin asked. Oh, that omega and his hearing. It was as good as an alpha's ear.

Shit. I meant to keep that thought inside my head.

"Well, he said the reason he is here is because he was in a 'not-so-great situation' his words, not mine. He didn't go into detail. But whatever happened, it seems to have torn his self-esteem down." I looked up to my mates, "He needs a friend. I don't know where he came from, but he's not fully Korean. I don't know if he has anyone else besides his grandparents either." I felt bad for the omega. Making it known on my face by frowning.

Jeongin whined while seeing my face. I try not to be sad most of the time because the omegas don't like it when their mates are upset. He got up from Minho's lap and came to me, hugging my waist. "Tell us what we can do to help, hyung." He softly said. I hugged him back, but I wasn't sure what needed to be done.

Minho finally spoke up. "If he really is sensitive to the mate thing, then we can't introduce ourselves yet. Hyunjin needs to keep going around him first, and then he can bring Felix around when he is ready." He looked around the room for any objections.

"That sounds like a good idea, Min." Changbin replied.

A small 'ding' could be heard from someone's phone, and everyone went to grab their respective device. I pulled mine out of my pocket and noticed that I had a text from an unknown number. I clicked on the notification, and it brought up the new message.

Unknown:
Hey, it's Felix.

I grinned from ear to ear. Then, text him back, changing the contact to the omega's name.

Hyunjin:
Hey
How are you doing

Felix:
I'm okay
Just lonely

Hyunjin:
I'm sorry you're lonely
I'd invite you over, but all 6 of my housemates are home, and they can be chaotic
I don't want them to scare you away
Plus, I want to get to know you more before I introduce you to these heathens 😂

Felix:
Thank you
Um, I don't want to be weird, but do I call you hyung or what?
I'm not from Korea, so I'm not too sure

Hyunjin:
Oh, well, that depends.
How old are you?

Felix:
18

Hyunjin:
Me too.
When is your birthday?

Felix:
September 15th

My eyes widened. That's the day after Jisung's birthday. But before I could text back, someone took my phone and ran off. I look up to see all three omegas running into the kitchen. All of us alphas are dumbfounded at what we just witnessed.

After a few blinks, I get up and head in the direction of the omegas, who were huddled around my phone looking at my messages with Felix, I presume. I quietly snuck around them and got right behind Jisung. My arms silently wrapped around the omega's waist, and I pulled him back into my chest.

Jisung screamed. I definitely caught him by surprise. This caused the other two mischevious omegas to run off back into the living room. I reached for my phone, my eyes turning a dark red, as I was intent on texting Felix back. Jisung held out the phone as far as he could and giggled, but my mind was only on one thing..

Felix.

I growled deep, my eyes staying only on my phone. My omega was waiting for me to reply.

The next thing I know, my other alpha mates came running into the kitchen. Jisung pushed my phone in my chest and ran off. My dark red eyes looked down to my phone, "Omega.." it didn't even sound like my voice.

"Jin," Chan's voice tried getting through to me. My alpha instincts wanting to make sure Felix was okay.

Need to protect omega.

"Hyunjin!" Changbin yelled. Still, I couldn't focus on anything. I looked up to my mates, and my omegas looked terrified. My eyes slowly turned back to their dark brown color, and I fell to my knees, clutching my cell phone in one hand.

Minho and Chan were on either side of me. "He imprinted hard.." Chan's voice rang through my head, bouncing around like my brain was an inflatable castle.

My vision blurred as I began to cry. "Jinnie, we're not mad at you, baby." Minho tried reassuring me. I couldn't help but feel all the emotions I had inside of me right now.

Anger. For growling at my mate.

Frustration. For not knowing why I imprinted so hard on someone I just met.

Fear. For not knowing if Felix will feel the same way about me.

Love. For my heart belongs to my mates but also my newfound love for Felix.

All my thoughts filled with my new omega. I cried harder, and before I could think, arms surrounded me in warm hugs. My breaths stuttered.

When I finally stopped crying, I spoke, my voice hoarse. "I'm sorry. I.. I don't know why I acted that way."

"Jin, you acted like that because you imprinted on Felix. You felt Jisung was a threat and acted on your instincts to protect the omega." Chan calmly stated, rubbing my back.

I looked up to find Jisung, "I'm sorry I growled at you, Sung."

"It's okay, Jinnie. I get it, but that shit was definitely scary. I forgot how terrifying an alpha who imprinted can be." I just hummed.

Shit! I needed to get back to my conversation with Felix.

Hyunjin:
Cool!
Mine is March 8th
So yeah, you'd call me hyung
Only if you want to, though

Felix:
Okay
Um, I need to run to the store later for food and stuff. Do you know a good place?

Hyunjin:
Yeah
Would you want me to show you around?

Felix:
I don't want to bother you, hyung

Hyunjin:
You don't bother me, Felix.
I'd love to show you around

Felix:
Okay then
How about we leave in an hour?
Would that work?

Hyunjin:
Yeah, that works.
See you then, Felix.

Felix:
See ya! 😃

When I finished texting, my mates were just staring at me. "What?" I asked.

"You definitely imprinted hard, Jin. We tried talking to you, but no one was home." Changbin replied. Seungmin and Jeongin giggled.

"Sorry. Um, Felix needs help with shopping, so I'm going to go with him." I said reluctantly.

"Okay, that's fine, baby." Chan said.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "Does anyone need anything from the store?"

After a good 20 minutes or so, I ended up with a list of items that my mates wanted. Now I just needed to go and collect Felix.

This was my chance to get to know my new mate better. I can't wait!
