Their lips parted as Aziraphale stepped out of the Bentley, Crowley had taken a moment to process the fact that he had just shared that information with the angel. His thoughts silenced by the click of the car door and an outstretched hand. "Coming, dear?"
"Of course." Crowley took the angel's hand, stepping out of the Bentley and closing the door. He locked his free hand in Aziraphale's free hand, standing so close that their chests almost touched with each breath. Crowley tilted his head, kissing Aziraphale lightly.

"Nobody wants to see that." Crowley broke the kiss. " 'xcuse me?"
"I said nobody wants to see that." An old man, probably in his mid 70s spoke. "See what? Because you aren't complaining about that couple just a few steps down, and they practically have their hands in each other's pants." Crowley flicked his head at a young couple. "That's different. That's a normal couple."
"And we are?" Aziraphale started. He didn't like confrontation, but he wouldn't sit here and let Crowley defend them alone. "Not natural, that's what you are. Two men? 'Ts not natural." Crowley laughed at this, pulling the angel to his side, an arm around his waist.

"Woah. Ok so let me tell you a funny little story that goes along the lines of this: before time ever started I met an angel that helped me create the stars. I asked God 'Aye why do you wanna destroy this beautiful nebula before it can even start pumping out stars?' Big no-no. Shot into a boiling pit of sulfur for that one. Great. Now I'm a fallen angel, no, where are my legs? Oh, yeah, I'm the serpent of Eden, the Original Tempter, 'cuz, y'know, fuck me! Climbed on to the wall, saw that same angel that helped me make the stars. Surely he'll laugh at me now. Nope! First rain came and he offered me, a demon, shelter under his wing. I fell in love right then and there. And according to him, he fell in love with me- well at least my eyes, then, too. So, don't you dare call us unnatural when we were, aside from Adam and Eve, the first beings to ever feel love. Oh, and if you even care, I'm not always a man."

The old man was stunned, and Aziraphale was nearly crying. "And why should I believe that? I mean seriously, you think that I believe you're a snake?" The old man was skeptical, but I suppose anyone would be. Crowley lifted his shades, flicking his (fully serpent) tongue. The old man ran away, or stumbled away, the best that a 70 something year old meat sack could.

"Now, where were we, Ang-" he looked at Aziraphale, who was trying to hold back his tears, his chest puffed out and breathing heaving. "Woah woah what's wrong?" Crowley turned Aziraphale to face him, lifting his shades so that Aziraphale could see his eyes. "I uhm.. it's nothing..."
"Angel, please tell me?"
Aziraphale sniffed. "...I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. All of those years, those centuries, those millennia, and I just.. left." Crowley pulled the angel in, holding one hand on the back of his head and the other around his back. "It's ok, it's ok. I understand why you did it, and you're back now. Promise you'll never leave again, and we can won't ever let it affect our relationship again." Aziraphale nodded, his hands wrapped tightly around Crowley's back. "Promise."

"Heaven never deserved you anyways, Angel." He pulled away, kissing Aziraphale. The angel smiled, "let's go get some food?"
"Yes, please.." Crowley groaned. He didn't usually eat much, but he was feeling especially hungry right now.
