Aziraphale rested his hand on Crowley's thigh while they ate, Aziraphale, of course, finished his food first. He picked up his champagne, holding it out as Crowley grabbed his. "To us." Aziraphale said, that loving look in his eyes and his cheeks tinted pink. "To us." Crowley agreed, they clinked the glasses together. "Cheers, babe." Crowley said, setting his hand over top of Aziraphale's hand on his thigh, taking a sip of the champagne. "Cheers, my dear Crow." Aziraphale took a sip as well.
Their hands linked together as they walked back to the Bentley, Aziraphale being a little drunk. They had had the same amount to drink, but Crowley's corporation had become more resistant to the alcohol and its effects due to his habit. He helped Aziraphale into the passenger seat, reaching over him to buckle his seatbelt. "Mph- Crow, dear, have I ever told you how sexy you are?" Crowley froze. "Uh- no. But you've shown me." He stammered, still trying to buckle the seatbelt. "You've got a cute butt." Aziraphale slapped his ass. Crowley scrambled out, falling on the ground outside of the door. "You little shit. You- you can't just do that! Not... not here at least." Crowley was almost matching his hair, Aziraphale giggled, "you're so cute, I love you, silly demon." Crowley scoffed and walked to the drivers side, getting in and turning on the radio. "Take us ho-... to the bookshop." The Bentley swerved out into the traffic, and Crowley looked at Aziraphale, who was now asleep. "Ngk, I love you, too." He muttered, cheeks still red.
They arrived at the bookshop, Aziraphale still asleep, Crowley picked him up and carried him into the bookshop and sat on the couch. He laid Aziraphale's head in his lap and he ran his fingers through the cream colored curls. Crowley was thinking back to when he first brought Aziraphale back, and how badly he'd been hurt. He felt that same rage again, this time mixed heavily with betrayal.Crowley looked up at the ceiling, still running his fingers through the angel's hair. "God, are you listening? What did he do to deserve this? He only ever did what he thought would save humanity, he wanted to protect the Earth, this beautiful creation that we both cherish so much. So why? Why would he have such terrible things done to him? Are you listening, God?! ARE YOU EVER LISTENING? DO YOU EVEN CARE FOR YOUR ANGELS?" Tears falling from his eyes, he had pulled Aziraphale up into his chest, holding him tight. Aziraphale had woken up at the sound of Crowley yelling, he was just about to ask what was wrong when they were both blinded by a white light.
They woke up together in the Garden of Eden, in the same robes they had worn then, and Crowley's wings released. They saw a being made purely of light, no true form, just light. "I'm sorry, my children. This was never a part of the plan." Crowley stood up. "Mother?.."
"Yes. Raphael, Aziraphale, please come here." The being held her arms open, Crowley helped Aziraphale up, holding his hand as they walked towards The Almighty.Crowley was crying, scared, standing slightly in front of Aziraphale, almost as to shield him. Aziraphale was still in shock, was this?... "Aziraphale, my child, why aren't your wings released?" Crowley was taken aback. "What? Are... are you kidding me? You think it's time for jokes?" Crowley was livid.

FanfictionMy first ever fic, this takes place directly after season 2 episode 6. I try to keep it to what I think could be canon/realistic to the story. I'm writing this as I go so any suggestions are welcome.
