Disturbed, Amara meets her new friend Rowan, a folklore enthusiast and fellow psychology major who loves unraveling the mysteries of the human psyche. Amara shares only fragments of her past, admitting her encounters with the supernatural.

Rowan (fascinated): "Mirror magic, curses, shadow selves... If even half of that's real, you're practically living folklore."

Amara (nervous): "It's not folklore when it follows you. This... thing won't let me go. I thought it was over."

He suggests they investigate the mirrors on campus, beginning with the old one in the library. But before they can head there, Amara glimpses her reflection in a hallway window. This time, the image stares back at her with malice, a smirk twisting its face.

Amara gasps, and Rowan catches her reaction, glancing between her and the empty window.

Rowan (concerned): "What is it? Did you see... something?"

Amara pulls him toward the library, a deep sense of dread filling her as they approach the cracked mirror.
