A blood bath

Detective Thomas POV

I stand in the middle of the house staring at the aftermath of Chase Laurent, 3 officers were dead and the others were in critical conditions . I watches as the injured officers were taken to ambulances outside while the dead ones were going to the morgue. A doctor then walked up to me and urges me to sit on the couch which I did before I lose consciousness again.

"détective..s'il vous plaît laissez-nous vous emmener à l'hôpital où votre blessure pourra être soignée correctement" ( detective..please let us take you to the hospital where your wound can be attended to properly ) the female doctor plead as she places some dressing on my open wound which was on my forehead. I know it is strongly recommended for me to get this wound clean and stitched up immediately but I didn't want to leave his house yet, I don't know why .

"Qu'est-ce qui s'est passé ici, Thomas ?!" The chief of police said when he saw the mess and the body bags being carried out . ( What the fuck happened here Thomas !?) 

" Chase Laurent happened Mr Smith.." I replied to him calmly.

" How can one fucking man take out 8 armed officer including you!" He asked angrily. The middle age man stood there waiting on a response from me as if I had an answer to that question.

" Je ne sais pas trop... il l'a juste fait..." is all I could say. ( I don't fucking know he just did ) 

"This is a fucking disaster! Once the media get a hold of this we're cooked !" Mr smith said and I just sat there and looked. I remember seeing Zuri even though the images of her were blurred in my mind I still remember her, she was trying to help me . "fouillez cet endroit de fond en comble ! Il doit y avoir un indice ou quelque chose pour indiquer où se trouve ce malade !"
(search this place in and out ! there has to be a clue or something to indicate where that sicko is !) Mr smith continued to rant and continue to search the mansion while I stared out in space. Chase Laurent wasn't just a creep who kidnapped women but also a killing machine psychopath who had no problem killing innocent people. I figured his also psychopathic tendencies was pass down by his father, it was known that his father was also insane genius who had a specialty in torture devices and methods. I stand up and walk towards the door with the thought of Zuri Jefferson on my mind, I wonder if she's still alive .

Zuri's Pov

Chase face was all over international news, on every news channel his face was there, his face was everywhere . I sat in the couch and listened as the American news reporter talks about me.

"The 23 year old was then kidnapped by the man name Chase Laurent who is also the prime suspect in the murder of the 4 people in the Du Sud hotel on February 13, 2022 and the death of  three officers yesterday evening. Currently speaking there is a wide spread manhunt going on for Chase Laurent and for Zuri who we pray and hope is still alive ." The blonde news reporter said and I just frown, I never imagined myself to be the center of so much attention, some news outlets even brought up my past academic performances, my history at college, basically all the good stuff . I recon that this was a tactic use by the news to make people see the victim as more human, and on the other hand there was this .. talk show or something where people were discussing my case like it was a murder mystery and one of the host talked about how " I could easily be an accomplice " and that this can be an " Bonnie and Clyde " situation. All this commotion made me miss social media, I really wonder what they're talking about on TikTok .

"Ahh putain baisse le son" A shirtless Chase said as he enter the living area yawning. ( ahh fuck turn that down) .

" I'm sorry, you're all over tv ." I said in a taunting manner .
