You were the last with Agatha to climb the steps and feel the flooring change beneath your shoes.
One moment, you were climbing down the spiral stone staircase, and the next, you found yourself in a forest.
The terrain was unknown to all of the witches, but you felt a sense of serenity. The silence existed, the dark tall trees and the equally dark sky.
You walked forward, leaving the group behind to argue and Sharon complaining, still clueless about what kind of danger Agatha had put her through.
You felt kind of bad for her but chose not to interfere like you always did. Remaining passive, a perfectly balanced scale was kind of your thing.
Plus, you still had to help Agatha, and if somehow having this mortal woman with you would do that, you were not going to argue.
You came to a halt upon noticing the white moon above you; less than a day before, it would be full. It glowed bright, its size bigger than normal, yet you welcomed it with closed eyes.
The white light fell on you as it bypassed the thick branches and crowns of some trees, and you took a moment to inhale the mossy, wet scent of the humid forest while feeling the magic within you thriving.
Despite the unique nature of the road, some things remained the same, and the moon was one of them. So close to its zenith that you could practically feel its influence washing over you, raising the tides of emotions and powers carefully held within you.
While the others continued to talk, trying their hardest to keep their arguing to a minimum, the Boy, Teen, took notice of you.
His steps were audible to you, dead wet leaves being crashed by his shoes as he approached you. Only after he chose to speak to you did you open your eyes.
"Is this like perpetual night? Like, as a vibe?" He asked.
He really didn't have much chance to talk with you and was curious. Plus, the other women did not seem to respect him that much, especially Jen.
So far, you have been the kindest to speak, and you did not give this hostile feeling other witches did.
"Yes. A witch's power is always more powerful at night when the moon is almost full, " you explained, glancing at him with the tip of your eye and noticing how he was staring at the sky.
"So, this is not a real night," he concluded, and you nodded.
You gently lifted a hand, pointing at some stars visible across the sky. "The stars are all wrong, see?" you explained, your finger trailing figures in the air as you followed formations that did not exist in the planned world. "This is an enchanted sky, never changing. It is also meant to disorient us and make us lose track of time. "
The boy watched in surprise. He did not know much about stars, but he could almost see it as your steady voice faintly explained a few things he would have never noticed.
Agatha took notice while you two were having your moment, and her face did not hide the scowl forming. She still did not know who the boy was and was also not the most sharing person, especially regarding you.
Deciding to draw attention to herself again, she took off her shoes, earning some curious and confused looks.
She said nothing else and merely walked forward, passing you and the boy. She took the lead as if she knew the road by heart.
"We need to be grounded," you explained, noticing how hesitant some were, like Jen and Sharon. "Directly connected to the earth. That's the only condition."

Fiksi PenggemarYou have a past with Agatha, one as old as your age. Your roads often met, but she left you behind more than once. Now, once again, your paths cross, but this time, it is intentional. It started as a one-shot on my Tumblr account (mr-ys-phantasma)...
