After a very emotional summer the new school year begins. This isn't Nicks first year teaching but something about a new school year is always a little scary.
As Nick gets last minute things ready for all of the twenty-one seven- and eight-year-olds Nick's boss knocks on his classroom door to get his attention which is met with Nicks smile.
"Hello Mr. Owen's!"
"Hey Nick! Can I speak to you for a moment in the office? Don't worry you're not in trouble" Ryan says
"Oh yeah! of course," Nick says as he gets up from his chair
As they walk to the office, they catch up on how their summer went and as they walk up to the door Nick can see a woman sitting in a chair through the window clearly nervous.
"Okay have a seat Nick" Ryan says
Nick sits down next to the woman and her eyes go wide which Nick doesn't notice she thinks to herself "Woah he's so cute"
"So, Nick we were interviewing over the holiday for teacher assistants, and we thought that you two would work well together so I want you to meet Carla Sheldon"
"Hey, Carla, I'm Nick I can't wait to work with you this year" Nick says as he reaches out his hand to meet Carlas for a handshake
"Hey Nick, same here! I'll do my best to be a good assistant!" Carla says as she reaches her hand out to meet his in the handshake
After a few moments they both get up and head over to the classroom
"So, Nick how was your summer?"
"It was okay, how was yours?"
"It was great!"
After catching up and somewhat getting to know each other they get to the classroom. Nicks lets Carla in first and she puts her stuff down and she starts to get a little to nosey and notices a picture of Nick and some man on his desk.
"Hey Mr. Nelson, sorry if I'm being too nosey but who is your friend in this picture you have?"
"Oh, That's Charlie!"
"Oh, nice he must be the great person!"
"He is! He's my favorite person ever"
"Yeah, my best friend is my favorite person ever"
"Yeah, he's my favorite person too I love him so much"
Carla just agrees as soon as the bell rings for students to come in. After about ten minutes everyone gets to their seats Nick stands up next to Carla and clears his throat which gets the students attention
"Hello Students, I'm Mr. Nelson-Spring but you can call me Mr. Nelson or Mr. Spring I have a puppy named Daisy and I'm so excited to be your teacher! now I want you guys to give the same attention you just gave me to Ms. Sheldon!" Nick says as he steps aside for Carla to speak
But while Nick was talking Carla was confused on why Nick has two last names maybe he was born with it? or maybe he's married If he was, she was going to make sure to ruin it she wanted Nick and if she couldn't then the person couldn't either that was a promise.
"Hello, I'm Ms. Sheldon I can't wait to work with you guys this year!"
After a few classes it was finally lunch break time and Carla wanted to get to the bottom of Nicks last name
"So, Nick I want to get to know you more tell me about your family"
"Oh, so I have a brother named David, but we aren't close, and my father is from Paris an-" Nick was about to talk about Charlie when Carla interrupts
"Sorry to interrupt but is this your brother?" Carla asks as she goes on her phone to bring up a photo of David
"Yes, it is" Nick says
"Oh, cool he's one of my friends"
"Nice" Nick says with a fake smile
"So, carry on with what you were going to say!"
Oh, yes! and then as you seen in the photo that's on my desk that's Charlie, I forgot to mention he's my husband of four years" Nick says with a proud smile
Carlas's face drops in an instant as soon as she sees the ring on his finger, she didn't even notice
"Oh, so your gay?"
"No, I'm bi, actually"
Carla just puts on a fake smile she wanted Nick, and she was going figure out how she was going to get Nick and Charlie to divorce she had her eyes on Nick, and nothing will stop her but will her plans work? guess she will find out
