Y/n put down her sword/lance/tome/axe and took one last look at the enemy that she had just defeated before walking away.As she walked, she saw bodies, horses, and pegasi all laying on the ground, dead. Y/n really didn't want to kill other living things but it was her duty. Anything that stood in their way needed to be eliminated. She wanted peace back in her world. In order for that to happen, Grima need to be defeated.
Y/n sighed and brushed her h/c hair out of her eyes. She looked ahead of her and saw that the rest of the Shepherds had already regrouped and were talking among themselves.
She smiled as she made her way to the group as people praised her for her work. After all, she did take out numerous enemies, not that she happy about her achievement.
"All right Shepherds. Seems like we took care of them all. Before we head back, I would like to acknowledge Y/n and Henry for taking out several of the enemies by themselves. They really helped make this an easier fight."
Everyone turned to Y/n and started clapping and whistling. Y/n blushed since she was never used to all the attention.
"You can thank Teach later Y/n!" Vaike said, grinning. Y/n rolled her eyes at his comment. He never did anything but talk about himself and his muscles.
Wait a second. Where's Henry? she thought. She looked around for the dark mage but couldn't find him amongst the faces of the Shepherds.
It wasn't like she was worried or anything. She knew that Henry could take care of himself with his dark magic and a few other spells Robin had lent him. Besides, she loved all the Shepherds equally, as friends.
But she couldn't help but wonder out loud.
"I wonder where Henry is." She said rather, a little bit to loud."Don't you worry Y/n! Henry's over there with his crow friends." Lissa said pointing at where he stood, on a small hill, with the crows surrounding him.
Y/n sweetly smiled at Lissa, thanking her, and went off towards Henry.
It was particularly windy that afternoon. Strands of hair kept falling on Y/n's face which she constantly had to move back to its place. She gave up after she was a few feet away from Henry.
She sighed and walked next to the mage, keeping a distance from the crows.
Henry was gazing off into the sky, crows resting on his shoulders, head, and finger. Y/n glanced at Henry and the crows, amazed how gentle he was with the black birds.
I wonder why he isn't killing them to see their blood. Y/n thought.
Henry's gaze left the crows and found Y/n's e/c eyes looking at his. When their eyes met, she looked away and immediately started blushing.
"Nya ha. Is something wrong Y/n?" Henry asked with his usual cheery tone.
"Um...no. It's nothing. Really." She responded looking at the sky as he was.
The truth was, Y/n wasn't fine. She had a weird feeling whenever she was around Henry. A new emotion to her since she's never felt it before.
It might just be another form of fear. She thought after experiencing the feeling a couple more times. I mean, he is Henry after all. The person who's obsessed with blood and hangs out with birds and who's always smiling.
And here she was again, with the feeling coming back to her, making her even more confused than before.
"Whatever you say Y/n" Henry answered, snapping Y/n back to reality. He continued to talk to his crow friends as the wind started to pick up. Henry didn't seem to notice.
