Yachi Hitoka stood at the edge of Karasuno's bustling gymnasium, clutching her clipboard so tightly her knuckles turned white. The afternoon sunlight streamed through the tall windows, illuminating the dust motes that danced in the air. She could hear the rhythmic pounding of sneakers against the hardwood floor, the slap of volleyballs as they flew across the net, and the shouts of her teammates as they executed drills under Coach Ukai's watchful eye.

She tried to focus, scribbling down notes on her clipboard. Hinata had missed his timing on a quick attack, and Kageyama's frustrated voice rang out, chastising his partner. Yachi winced, but a small smile played at her lips as she watched the two argue like they always did. The familiar antics were a small comfort amidst the whirlwind of anxiety that came with her new role as team manager. It had only been a few weeks, and she still felt like she was stumbling through every task, desperately trying not to let anyone down.

"Yachi!" Sugawara's voice interrupted her thoughts, and she turned to see the third-year setter approaching, his kind smile immediately easing some of her nerves. "How are you doing?" he asked, his eyes crinkling in that way that made him look perpetually cheerful.

"I-I'm fine!" Yachi said, her voice coming out higher than she intended. Sugawara was always so supportive, but she couldn't help feeling like she was a burden to the team.

He seemed to sense her unease. "Hey," he said gently, "you're doing great. Don't stress too much. And besides, we've got something coming up that might help take your mind off things." He leaned in, lowering his voice conspiratorially. "A training camp with Nekoma."

Yachi's eyes widened. "N-Nekoma? You mean the team from Tokyo?"

Sugawara nodded, a gleam of excitement in his eyes. "Yep. It's going to be intense, but it'll be a good experience for all of us. Even you, Yachi."

Yachi swallowed hard. A training camp with a powerhouse team like Nekoma sounded both thrilling and terrifying. She could already feel the pressure building, but Shimizu stepped forward, her calm presence a welcome anchor.

"Don't worry," Kiyoko said softly. "It'll be a great learning opportunity. You'll be fine."

Yachi looked between Sugawara and Shimizu, drawing courage from their reassurances. She nodded, clenching her clipboard a little less tightly. Maybe she could do this. Maybe.

The bus ride to Tokyo was a chaotic affair, with Tanaka's and Nishinoya's loud bickering providing an unending soundtrack. Yachi sat near Kiyoko, trying to distract herself from her nerves by organizing the paperwork she'd brought. The Tokyo skyline unfolded around them, buildings gleaming under the mid-morning sun, and her anxiety only deepened. By the time they pulled up to the sprawling sports complex, she felt like her heart might beat out of her chest.

Karasuno filed off the bus, and Yachi followed closely behind Kiyoko, trying to steady her breath as they stepped into the crisp morning air. The training camp was bustling with activity; players from different schools were already outside stretching, chatting, or warming up. The excitement and energy in the air were palpable, filling the open space with an undercurrent of anticipation.

Yachi's eyes darted from one group to another, recognizing the white jackets of Fukurōdani Academy and the yellow uniforms of Ubugawa High. Shinzen High's players were gathered near one of the outdoor benches, laughing and exchanging playful jabs. The sheer number of athletes milling about, each group carrying its own unique dynamic, made her heart pound with both nerves and awe.

Kiyoko walked with her usual calm demeanor, her presence as reassuring as ever. Yachi clutched her clipboard tighter, grateful for the familiarity and stability that Kiyoko seemed to radiate. Just as Yachi began to focus on taking a steadying breath, a loud, boisterous voice cut through the noise, pulling her attention to the front of the group.
