Melanie hadn't been joking about secrecy, and it was testing Friday's patience. After two exhausting weeks of bedrest, following her doctor's orders to recover from the kidnapping, Friday was eager to reclaim her life. Finally, the day of the baby shower arrived. Friday gazed at her reflection, feeling proud of her self-styling efforts. A touch of concealer and lip gloss enhanced her natural glow, while overnight curlers had transformed her hair into luscious waves. She slipped into the pastel blue dress Melanie had chosen, feeling radiant. The silver necklace with a baby block pendant added a delicate touch. As she finished getting ready, Friday's excitement grew. What did Melanie have planned for today? The doorbell rang, and Friday's heart skipped a beat. She opened the door to find Ian, looking handsome in his navy blue suit."You look beautiful," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners.Friday blushed, feeling a flutter in her chest. She stretched out her hands, and Ian enveloped her in a warm hug. For a moment, she felt safe and happy, her worries forgotten. But then she remembered Melanie's warning: "Don't be late!"Friday pulled back, laughing. "We should go. Melanie will hunt us down if we're late."Ian chuckled, helping Friday gather the last-minute items. As they drove to the venue, Friday held Ian's hand, her excitement building."Melanie's been secretive, but I know she's planned something special," Friday said.Ian smiled. "Just enjoy the surprise, love."They arrived at the venue, a beautifully decorated event space filled with pastel colors and baby-themed decorations.Friday's eyes widened as she spotted Melanie, beaming with excitement."Right on time!" Melanie exclaimed, rushing over to hug Friday.

Friday hugged Melanie, then turned to greet the other guests."Hey, Ingrid! Bernie, so great to see you!" Friday exclaimed, exchanging hugs.Helena smiled warmly. "Friday, you look stunning. That dress was made for you."Friday beamed, feeling grateful for her support.Just then, a tiny ball of energy hurtled toward Friday."Auntie Friday!" Bella, Melanie's 8-year-old niece, squealed, throwing her arms around Friday's waist.Friday laughed, lifting Bella off the ground. "Bella, sweetie, you're growing up so fast!"As the guests mingled, Melanie clapped her hands. "Time for games! Our first one is Baby Bingo!"Ian handed out bingo cards, while Melanie explained the rules."Each square represents a baby-related item. When I open the gifts, mark off the items you see. First person to get five in a row wins!"The room erupted into excited chatter as the game began.Bella sat beside Friday, eyes shining with excitement. "Auntie Friday, I want to win!"Friday smiled, helping Bella mark off her squares. As Melanie started opening gifts, the room filled with oohs and aahs."A diaper cake!" Helena exclaimed."Mark that off, Bella," Friday whispered. The game continued, with Bernie shouting "Bingo!" just as Melanie opened a set of adorable onesies."Congratulations, Bernie!" Melanie said, handing over a gift card.Next up was "Guess the Baby Food," which left everyone in stitches.
The games went round by round and everyone was enjoying it
As the games wrapped up, Melanie announced, "Time for the main event – the baby reveal!"Friday's heart skipped a beat. She had been waiting for this moment.Ian took Friday's hand, his eyes sparkling. "Are you ready?"Friday nodded, her smile trembling.Melanie unveiled a stunning cake with a removable top tier."Blue or pink?" Helena asked, her voice filled with anticipation.Melanie grinned mischievously. "Let's find out!"As Melanie lifted the top tier, Friday gasped. The cake's interior revealed a beautiful split design – pink and blue."It's twins!" the room erupted. "A boy and a girl!"Friday's eyes welled up with tears. She had never imagined this wonderful surprise.Ian wrapped his arms around Friday, holding her close."We're having twins – a baby boy and girl," he whispered, beaming.Bella squealed, "Auntie Friday, I'm going to have a cousin – and another cousin!"As the celebration continued, Friday felt overwhelmed with joy.Melanie handed Friday a framed sonogram picture. "Congratulations, Mom and Dad!"I gazed at the image, my heart overflowing with love."I love you Friday" Ian whispered, his eyes shining.
'I love you too" I replied back as I kissed him.
After lunch, as everyone departed, Melanie, Alex, and Ian settled into their living room."So, what are the names?" Melanie asked, her curiosity palpable. "You're going to tell me, right?"I chuckled, leaning into Ian's embracing arm."We do have a boy and girl name," I said, "but keep it under wraps until the birth."Ian's eyes met mine, and I continued."For a boy, Ian chose Cameron."Melanie's eyes sparkled."For a girl," I revealed, "I chose Ziva.""Ooh, I'm getting a mix of Italy and Greece," Alex exclaimed, stretching out in the beanbag.Melanie's pouted 'I was hoping for Thursday, you know a mini Friday"Friday would be horrified
In couple more minutes Melanie And Alex left stating Marcus was hoe with nanny.
Ian's eyes crinkled at the corners. "You excited?"I took a deep breath, my mind racing. "Worried, but if I've handled that many cases, what can go wrong?" I attempted a confident smile.Ian chuckled, his arm tightening around me. "You're going to be an amazing mom, Friday."Ian's gaze softened, his voice low. "We're in this together, always."I leaned into him, feeling safe and loved."WHen did you go get so soft," I teasedIan's lips brushed against mine. "The moment i meant you"In that quiet moment, everything else faded away.
Thank you so much for everything and i'm happy for ideas for next chapters and will give credit.
