I was scared of you, oh, death. I feared your vengeance I feared your woe I feared that I'd not see myself grow anymore
,yet to be subjected to you is a blessing That one who is hurt must acquire And that blessing might hurt everyone, but the pained Those who are affected by great despair.
Oh, you are my greatest of Allies, Resting me in a bed of feathers Striking relief in this endless of pains Making me a tragedy once more
And, you are the worst enemy I have Taking the life I wished to see Threat to my future, to my very desire To the life I wish to live by.
I want to take the hand you extend yet want to stay for a bit longer, too I want to see your very essence That of which I could understand more
The essence of life and death and pain The essence of my existence and fall
Oh, the need to see you now, my dear Is killing me more than my deep sorrow.
