"AHH!"

Yulia screamed in shock, making me jump.

"Why did you scream?"

Suddenly, the nurse from the room next door burst in.

"I heard a loud scream from this room. Is everything alright?"

I was at a loss, unsure of how to respond. Should I tell her I just confessed my feelings? While I was hesitating, Yulia quickly said,

"Oh, I'm sorry, ma'am! Dmitri here just showed me a really scary video!"

I nodded, trying to act like that was true.

The nurse sighed with relief and said to both of us,

"Watch whatever you like, but please don't be loud and disturb the other rooms."

We both nodded, silently apologizing, and then she left, giving us the space to ourselves. As soon as the door closed, Yulia and I burst out laughing.

"How are you so quick-witted?"

Yulia mocked me.

"Of course! That's just how I am!"

" I was about to tell her straight-up that you were shocked because a handsome guy just confessed his feelings! "

Yulia laughed and replied,

"You're getting a bit full of yourself there. But why did you confess to me at that moment? I had prepared for this situation, but I didn't expect it to happen now."

"You knew beforehand? How clever!"

Yulia laughed and said,

"You're too predictable!"

"So... do you agree?"

Yulia looked at me blankly and asked,

"Agree to what?"

"To be my girlfriend, of course."

"Oh, I haven't answered you yet, have I?"

She looked down, thinking for a moment, then replied,

"Okay, but on one condition!"

I laughed, speaking confidently,

"Name it!"

"Could you carry me somewhere?"

"But you're injured! And would the nurses even allow it?"

Yulia laughed and replied,

"I didn't say we'd ask for permission."

"So, you mean you want me to sneak you out?"

Yulia nodded, and I glanced at my watch.

"It's 5 p.m. now. Alright, I'll take you out, but just for a little while, okay?"

Yulia smiled and replied,

"Alright!"

"So, where do you want to go?"

Yulia looked at me and answered,

"Anywhere, as long as it's not in the hospital room."

I thought for a moment, then an idea popped into my head.

"I know a place."

I carried Yulia to an old library; it was already 5:15 p.m. The warm sunset light shone through the windows, casting an orange glow over the floor. Because it was an old public library, no one really bothered coming here anymore. Old, unused books were scattered across the floor. As I carried Yulia on my back, she asked,

"Where is this place? Do you come here often?"

I nodded.

"Yes, I come here often to read and relax."

Yulia asked again,

"But why this place? There are so many better spots."

"I'm not sure. I just feel very peaceful here. I think you'll like it too."

Yulia gave me a slight nod. I carried her up to the second floor, close to the spot where I usually sat to read. Right next to my usual spot was a window, and I gently pushed it open. The evening breeze drifted through, filling the room with a cool and pleasant atmosphere. I asked Yulia,

"How do you like this spot?"

Not hearing a reply, I turned around and saw that she had fallen asleep on my shoulder. I smiled, setting her down gently on a nearby bookshelf. I took off my jacket, draped it over her, and brushed her hair to the side. The sunset cast a gentle light over her sleeping face, highlighting her innocent, angelic look.

"She looks like an angel."

I said.

Nearby was a piano I usually borrowed to practice, and since hardly anyone came to this library, I didn't worry about disturbing anyone. I sat down, picked a song to practice, and to be honest, at that moment, I wished time would stop, so I could stay with her in this Perfectly Beautiful Scene forever.
