CAMILA WAS A SNAKE. In a literal sense. A Viper.
Ever since she was a little girl, Camila Verona was a well-known name in Central City. Mainly due to the fact that her father was a millionaire in debt and her mother was hooked on narcotics. Her parents were never together, and they never took the time to get along for the sake of their daughter. Making matters even worse for the girl, she was confined to homeschooling with a tutor; her mother for some unknown reason not wanting to send her off to public school. Despite that, she was a very talkative and social person.
Because of this, Camila became extremely gifted, taking courses advanced for the average person her age. But one day, whilst walking home from the store, the teen was bitten by a snake she only assumed to be venomous. Yet instead of an unfaithful demise like she expected, she was gifted things. Powerful things. Most of which she can't control and result with her not being... herself.
So, what happens when some Englishman who claims to be from the 21st century attempts to recruit her and others to become legends and save the world? I mean, she's just a kid.
