Maggie let Ellie use the shower, although they didn't have hot water Ellie was grateful after not being able to shower for a while.
"I'll wash these for you." Maggie smiled at the girl as she took her clothes from the bathroom counter and shut the door.
The shower was cold yet nice, the dirt and dried blood washed off her body, she used the razor Maggie gave her and shaved.
After she was done she wrapped the towel around her body, Maggie still hadn't returned with her clothes so she stayed in the bathroom.
About 10 minutes passed before she let out a sigh and held her towel tighter around herself opening the bathroom door.
Daryl walked out of the bedroom, now wearing a tank top, he paused as he looked at her in only her towel.
"I- Maggie hasn't given me my clothes yet." She muttered flusteredly as she shifted on her feet on the hardwood floors.
"I'm- I'm just gonna go-" She whispered as she turned around to back into the bathroom, "Yer' bit!" He said almost loudly looking at the bite mark on her shoulder that was now a scar.
She froze before grabbing his arm and dragging him in the bathroom with her, "I'm not! Well I did get bit but-" she tried to explain in hushed whispers.
"There's a bite mark on your damn shoulder! The hell ya mean!" He whispered harshly looking at her, craning his head down as he spoke.
"Could you just- stop bein' so loud!" She hit his arm as her other hand made sure her towel didn't fall, "I don't know how I survived the bite okay! I grew up next to a power plant and it blew up. Next thing I know I'm exposed to all these damn chemicals and I got bit."
"I didn't turn but it's like when I'm walking beside the dead they don't even notice me. They don't attack me, they just walk past me." She explained with a sigh, suddenly feeling awkward as she remembered she was in just a towel.
"Ya' can't tell anyone Daryl, I'm serious." She stated with a pointed look, looking up at the slightly older man.
He let out a grunt and ran his hands over his face, "Fine, I ain't gonna tell nobody, but you're coming with me to find Sophia. Hurry up and get dressed." He looked her up and down before opening the door.
Maggie stood outside with her hand up like she was about to knock, a smirk settled on her face as she looked at them. Daryl brushed passed her and Maggie handed Ellie her now clean clothes.
"You and Daryl?" She smirked leaning against the door, "oh, shut up." Ellie hid back a smile and shut the door to get changed.

Ellie followed close behind Daryl as they trekked through the forest, branches snapping underneath their feet. "Ya' ever eaten someone?" Daryl broke the silence as he stepped over a log.
Ellie scoffed a laugh, "no, I've never eaten no one." She let out a small laugh as he stopped and bent down looking at some tracks in the dirt.
"Figured I'd ask since you're like some walking dead girl." He muttered under his breath, almost too quiet so she didn't hear but she did.
"Where ya' from? Before all this?" Daryl kept conversation which surprised himself slightly since he never really knew how to keep a conversation going.
"Michigan." She said as she kept his pace and was now walking beside him, "the hell ya' doing in Georgia?" Daryl grunted looking over at the girl who now walked beside him.
"Dunno, kept moving after I got bit. Figured it'd be better keeping my distance from other people so they didn't find out what I was, immune or somethin' like that." She shrugged as they walked back towards the edge of the tree line seeing the farm before stopping.
He nodded in understanding, he was still confused on the whole thing, he didn't think it was possible to get bit and survive yet here he was talking to someone like that.
He sat down against the tree, his back to it as he rested his forearms on his knees. Ellie sat down beside him but kept some distance between them.
They sat there for a while in silence, it wasn't awkward. It almost felt comforting. He dug his fingers into the dirt and pulled a worm out sucking it into his mouth.
Ellie grimaced as she watched him, "What?" Daryl grunted as he chewed on the worm. "I may be partially dead but I would never eat a worm." She shook her head, a look of disgust on her face.
He rolled his eyes, "Surprised ya' haven't eaten me yet." He retaliated back, turning his head to look at her from where she sat beside him.
"Don't tempt me." She tried to hold back a smile but failed, a dimpled smile graced her lips.
"Probably should head back." Daryl muttered prying his gaze away from her face, a bubbling sensation settled in his chest as her smile lingered in his mind.
She nodded and stood up as they made their way through the field towards the camp.
