The next day, I attend a full day of lessons. I notice a growing mutter amongst the students, rumours flying around about the absence of a professor. I'll admit, I was a bit worried too, but I am not able to show my concern for a seemingly awol potion's professor. I continue to pay attention in all my lessons, as well as frequent visits to the school lake. Sometimes I'm by myself there, sometimes Theo sits beside me in silence. Other time I find myself, wanting him to come by. I am sat beside Ginny in our last class of the day, defence against the dark arts. We are learning about the dementors. Or was we only ever heard about them being the keepers and guards of Azkaban. We practice our killing curse on the armoured dummies. I cast it a few times, which make's our professor award 10 points to gryffindor. "Are you coming to Hogsmeade tomorrow?" Ginny asks me, as she practises beside me. I nod "Of course, I need some supplies" Shortly after making these arrangements, the class is dismissed and we make our way back to the common room, to take our study books back before the evening dinner.

As I walk towards the school hall for dinner, I see the slytherin boys stood at the end of the corridor, talking amongst themselves. I slip into another group of students to blend in as we walk past the group. I try to eavesdrop while on the move but I don't hear much. Upon entering the great hal, I find my seat and sit down. As everyone sits down at their seats, and begins to eat. The professors all walk in and take their seats. There's still one empty seat. It fills me with dread. 'Just where is he?' I would wonder. I try to ignore my feels and distract myself with eating until I am full. After I walk back through the corridors alone. I think of a sneaky plan. Because my worry becomes too much. I decide I must go visit my home. But I'm scared to do it alone. I bump into Harry as I'm lost in my thoughts.

"oh I'm so sorry" I apologise, helping pick up his study books, seeing a familiar potions book. I look at the book, Harry looks perplexed at me. "Excuse me" he speaks up, I slowly hand the book to him. "I'm sorry, I thought it looked familiar, may I borrow it when you're done?" I ask hopeful. He looks at me, "Of course, I'll give it to you when I've finished" He walks off towards the library. I go down to the lake, and sit by the side, in silence. After a while, I hear some footsteps behind me. "Seraphina?" A deep toned familar voice calls. I turn to see Theo stood there. He sits beside me. "Are you ok?" He asks concerned. I look down "Can I trust you?" I ask him. He places his hand on the back of my shoulder. "yes" he says. I look up at him. "Do you know how we can leave school for an afternoon?" I ask. "Why do you wan't to leave?" I've piqued his interest. "I feel homesick" I simply reply. He nods listening to me. There's a moment of silence. I look up into his eyes. "I'll find a way, leave it with me" he promises. Out of excitement I hug him. Theo is surprised by this outburst. "I'm sorry" I apologise and compose myself. He laughs, as he stands back up. "I'll let you know when I figure out how we can go" he reassures, walking off.

I spend the next few days, keeping my head down. Trying not to draw attention to myself. I hold on tightly to the potions book, that Harry gave to me. It's simply a potions textbook, with added annotations in it. The familiar handwriting to me. Written by the half blood prince. I place this book, in the box under my bed, with photos etc. Before I make my way to my morning lessons. I meet Ginny in the gryffindor common room. So that we can walk to our defence against the dark arts class together. As we walk the halls and moving staircases, Ginny asks about Theo. I look at her nonchalent, "he's just a friend" I try to despute. "Gryffindor's don't mix with Slytherins" She enforces, as I shake my head in silence, thinking if only she knew. We make it to our classroom, where a dishevelled man stands behind the teaching desk. Everyone sits in silence, a bit scared of this seemingly stranger standing before us. "You're normal professor is away on business, I am his substitute, Professor Lupin." he opens the class, introducing himself. There's something familiar about his face, but I am unable to place it. This causes me internal agony throughout the lesson.

During lunch, I sit at the table eating with Ginny and our friends. The slytherin boys walk past us, and I catch Theo's gaze, as we try and not make our interactions obvious. I use my leglimans skills to read Theo's mind, and can see he is still actively trying to find a solution to my problem. This brings a smile to my face, which he sees the smile on my face, unaware of why it is there. If there is one thing I am greatful for inheriting it is my occlumency skills. I go back to eating when I see Ginny shake her head. "He's bad news, Seraphina" she warns. I can't tell if it's in a caring protection warning, or a jealousy warning. Theo is one of the better looking boys at hogwarts. Maybe she was in fact jealous of our random late rendezvous down by the lake. Even though nothing romantic has happened. Only one awkward hug, and an endearing moment. After we eat our lunch, we set about leaving hogwarts to visit Hogsmeade for school supplies.
