It's a dark gloomy cloud seemingly hovering over the Hogsmeade village this afternoon. This brought a sense of quietness to the villagers and storekeepers. Ginny and I walk around the magical stores, collecting all the supplies we need. We walk into the potions shop, and the store keeper looks up, making direct eye contact with me. He then steps out from behind the counter, "Seraphina? I almost didn't recognise you" Mr Pippen speaks. I shake my head, giving him a disapproving look. "Not now, Mr Pippen" I rebute, going to help Ginny pick out the ingredients she needs for her next potions class. She has a suspicious look on her face. As soon as we step out of the store, she stops and suddenly says "How do you know him?" My memory briefly flashes back, to being a young girl, wondering around the shop waiting for her father to buy ingredients etc. This memory brings a bittersweet smile to my face. "He's a family friend" I simply reply. She seems satisfied by this answer and smiles, "I'll meet you in the three broomsticks, for a drink before we wak back" she smiles walking off to the broomstick store.

I stand there for a moment, satisfied I got the attention off myself. I walk along the river, by the side of the village. I do find the water a relaxing place. She fixes her black hair, back into the bun properly. I then walk over to the three broomsticks, buying a pint of butterbeer, and sitting down at an empty table. Mattheo walks into the tavern, after I sit. He makes direct eye contact, and walks right up to my table. Slamming his hand down on the table. "I know, you're hiding something" He angrily declares. I smirk, lifting my glass, taking a drink remaining silent. Feeling a sense of power. I look up into his dark green eyes, "threatened are we?" I respond back firmly. Mattheo grunts, as he storms off, feeling defeated. With a sense of pride, I continue to drink my butterbeer, sitting in the aftermath of the intense altercation. Ginny walks back to my table, "Seraphina" she calls. I wave, "Are you ready to head back now?" I ask, placing my empty glass down on the table. Ginny smiles, "Yes, I have everything" as we walk out the three broomsticks together, walking the path back to Hogwarts.

As we are walking past the entrance to the forbidden forest, we see two professors frantically run into the forest. Exchanging looks, Ginny and I run into the forest behind them, powered by intriguement. We run bahind the professors stopping abruptly bumping into them. The scene before us was a dark one. A few forbidden forest beasts and creatures lying on the forest floor, covered in blood, burns and ashes. It's clear that nothing survived this. Ginny instantly cries at this sight. However I have a stronger stomach. Professor Mcgonagall turns to see us students stood there. Seeing Ginny in tears, and my strong composure, she speaks up, "Miss please take Ginny back to the castle." in a stern voice. I nod, and I wrap my arm around her in a comforting way, guiding her back out of the forest, and back towards the castle grounds. As we walk in through the gates, and make our way back to the common room. Sitting her down on the couch. "Are you okay?" I ask. She wipes her face, "How did it not affect you?" She asks, looking back at me. I look to the floor, "I don't want this broadcasted, but I have seen it before." I confide to Ginny. She holds my hand, "Your secret is safe with me" she reassures, smiling as we hug.

Later that day, at dinner in the great hall. Everyone is sat in their seats, I sit and eat by Ginny, as we bond over the unpleasant sighting. She is now my best friend in the school. Something I never had in my old magic school. It brings me warmth, even though I am very worried about my father. I glance over at the Slytherin table, and see the boys sat there, Draco leans to Mattheo whispering something in his ear. I quickly look away, as Professor Dumbledore stands up at his podium. "Quiet everyone" He shouts. The entire hall falls silent. "The forbidden forest is off limits to all students, and anyone wanting to go into Hogsmeade must be in a group of 4, and with a professor." he informs, as he dismisses everyone. We talk amongst ourselves, gossiping about the announcement. I get up from the table, walking myself back through a variety of corridors, finding myself wandering near the potions classroom naturally. I sigh, seeing the empty classroom still. As the worried feeling, sinks deep into my heart. I hope Theo has found a way for me to visit my home, I wonder to myself.

It truly hurts my heart, not at least seeing my father around school. All of our flying and outdoor classes have been suspended for the day. I choose to use this time, sat in the library, studying quietly. The smell of fresh books fill the air, as I hear a commotion coming from the restricted section. I sigh, trying to ignore it, before hearing a familiar voice whispering. I look up to see his brown hair, glisten in the dim lighting. Theo stumbles out of the gates, bumping into me. I fall to the floor, hitting my head on the wooden floorboards. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry, Seraphina" he apologises, helping me sit up, as I rub my head. "It was an accident" I respond, looking down at my broken wand. He frowns, "I'm sorry..." after seeing my wand on the floor. I hold my hand over the two pieces, looking around before I whisper "Reparo" My wand magically repairs itself. Theo's face is filled with disbelief. I place my wand away. Theo looks at me, "students aren't able to fix their own wands..." An intense silence fills the air in the library.
