Untitled Part 26

King Zachary woke early and went to his son's chamber to the prince ready for his first hunting trip. Zachary knocked on the door. There was no response at first then, which worried the king. He opened the door and saw that his son's hunting trip lying on the bed. "Edward?" The king asked.

There was no reply. Worried that something bad had happened to his son, Zachary went into the bathroom to see what had become of his son. He opened the door with caution. On the ground of the bathroom lay the body of 12-year-old Edward.

The king ran to him. "Edward!" He held his son's body against him. He was hoping that Edward was unconscious and not dead.

Guards come to where the king was and stopped in their tracks. They bowed in respect of their king and prince. After a moment of silence king Zachary looked at his men. "Go, and spread the news about my son. Bring my mother and Dragon Mother to me so we can determine what happened here. DO NOT tell Elsa for she will be heartbroken."

The guards nodded their heads. "How shall we tell people Your Grace?"

"Tell them that their prince is in a coma." Came their reply.

The guards bowed and left.

Katherine and Aki joined Zachary in Edward's chamber. The 12 year-old boy had not woken up from his coma. The Great Healer had determined that Edward hit his head while in the bathroom and fell unconscious. The king stood at the window. It was clear he had not slept or eaten.

Katherine went over to her son. "Zachary, you must eat and get some rest. Let The Great Healer do his work."

"My son is in a coma and my wife is worried. How can I mother? I don't know what to do. Elsa is suffering and I can't help her. Have I failed her as a husband?"

"No Zachary. You have not failed. We will get to the bottom of this and find out why Edward is in a coma. All we know that he hit his head on the sink in the bathroom. Something must have caused him too. No one doesn't just hit their head without being startled." Katherine said reassuring her son.

Aki sat next to the prince. She placed a hand on his forehead. Closing her eyes she started to mummer something under breath.
