"I know it's in here because I always kept it around. However, the chances of Camilla letting us find it are slim. Also venturing through this castle is going to be painful." Ginger said, she was starting to become Camilla's biggest hater.
"We will go together and the others can stay here. It'll take longer being in smaller numbers but it'll save time getting lost." Emlyn said, and Ginger nodded.
"I agree. Stay close to me at all times, she could pull anything to separate us." Ginger said, and led the way up the grand staircase case.
The two of them ventured down the corridors, the air was heavy and dusty. It was clear Camilla hadn't been here in a while or she just didn't like to clean. The hallways seemed to stretch for miles and twist and turn but they never led to anything.
"I swear we have passed this painting 800 times Ginger." Emlyn said sighing.
"Hmm." Ginger stopped and looked at the painting, it was a painting of a midnight sky but something stuck out to her. An owl sat perched on the branch. She grabbed the painting and ripped it off the wall. "What a little bitch, she knows we're looking for it. That's why that painting was there with an owl on it. Dumb cunt." Ginger ranted and shook her head.
Behind the painting was a long and narrow stone brick passageway. The two of them headed down it holding hands to avoid anything happening. They got halfway down and the once open passageway was closed when a wall slammed upward from the floor.
"Ginger what's happening?" Emlyn asked panicked and squeezed her hand.
"Um ow, also she's testing us. She's gonna throw whatever she can at us to scare us and make this difficult." Ginger said rolling her eyes
Emlyn loosened her grip on Gingers hand. "What happens now?"
At that moment the floor below them gave way. They went sliding down a winding stone slide and tumbled over top of each other when they finally landed on a ceramic floor. The floor had a giant owl on it and a pedestal came out of its eye.
On top of the pedestal was a vile with what both of them assumed was the owl's blood. Emlyn was about to approach but Ginger stopped her. "No, too easy, it's definitely a trap."
"Awe Ginger why must you take the fun out of everything." Camilla said as she emerged from the darkness. She had been inside that castle the whole time messing with them.
Ginger looked up to see a giant rock attached to the ceiling directly above the pedestal. "So was that giant rock meant for me or her?"
"Well if I was lucky both of you, but I suppose I would've been satisfied with either of you getting flattened." Camilla hissed.
"What do you want Camilla? That doesn't involve flattening us with a giant holder." Emlyn said glaring at her.
"Hmm how about a trade? Blood for blood, give me some of yours and I'll give you the owl's blood." Camilla said smiling.
"We don't negotiate with terrorists." Emlyn said, and Camilla shrugged and turned to walk away.
"Ok bye good luck figuring it out yourself babe." She said, and Ginger scoffed.
"Deal you can have mine." Ginger said, and Emlyn glared at her.
"Ginger!" Emlyn said and Ginger sighed.
"We don't have time to play her games and debate or challenge her every move. We need to get out of this castle." Ginger said and Emlyn sighed knowing she was right.
Camilla approached Ginger and pulled a knife out of nowhere and slashed her across the face. Ginger fell on her ass and grabbed her cheek as blood rolled down her face and neck. Camilla took some of it with a vile and carefully replaced the vile on the pedestal with the new one.
She tossed the owl's blood to them and pointed off to the left side of the room, "third door on the left I promise it leads to the front entrance. Thanks for coming it was great seeing you both." She waved in a sarcastic fashion.
Emlyn pulled Ginger to her feet and the two of them walked out of the third door on the left side of the room. Camilla didn't lie the door led them directly to their friends on the other side.
"Oh good you guys are back! Did you get it? Ginger what happened to your face?" Stella said, and Ginger sighed.
"Camilla is a little bitch and that's all you need to know. Yes we got it." Ginger said, she then stood in front of the front door and popped the cork out of the vile.
She drank the owls blood and everyone watched as she started to glow purple, her aura. Ginger casted the spell and the door burst open. They all ran out of there as fast as they could. They didn't stop running until they were safely back on the boat.
They looked back as they watched Camilla's castle start crumbling to the ground. The owls blood had made Gingers power so strong she took out the entire castle. "Damn Ginger you destroyed the entire place."
"Sorry not sorry, I hope my sparkle burned her fucking eyes." Ginger tossed her hair that wasn't even wet despite the rain.
"Is that a demon thing? To not have wet hair even when it's raining?" Emlyn asked and Ginger chuckled.
"Yes, and fun fact mermaids descended from our power. That's why they're dicks most of them. We have the same type of hair, always shining and still fluffy and flowy even in the water and rain." Ginger explained, and Emlyn felt like she's still be trying to understand this world for the rest of her life.
Emlyn picked a box up that had fallen out of the castle rubble. She wasn't sure why but she felt compelled to pick it up. She tucker it into her bag and turned back to the others. "Let's get back to the castle and Horrace so we can figure out what to do next."
With that they set sail and headed back.
