<Ash POV>
After the school day was done I got on the bus to go to the house. I sat in the back of the bus again and stuck in my headphones, getting ready to listen to some music before getting tapped on the shoulder. I turned over to see Cody sliding over from the seat across the aisle from me to right next to me.
We sat in silence for about a minute or two before I got tired of the quietness.
"So is this gonna be a normal thing now?" I questioned while staring straight forward at the seat in front of me.
"Hmm tempting" He smirked.
"That wasn't an offer" I stated before turning my head away from him attempting to hide my slight smile.
"Oh it didn't have to be. I offered myself." He shot back while looking down at his hands.
"Mhm...is that what a gentleman would do?" I asked while cocking my eyebrow up.
"Who said I was a gentleman" He smirked before running his fingers through his hair.
"O-oh" I had stuttered out and looked up with wide eyes.
"Relax I'm joking...maybe" He laughed a dark raspy edgy laugh that I had remembered from when we first met at the diner.
I managed to let out a laugh when finally the bus got to our stop and I got up along with Cody. I pushed passed the idiotic hormonal teens and hopped off the bus.<Cody POV>
I had gotten up as soon as the bus stopped on my street and backed up a bit so Ash could get off the bus first. While Ash was walking through the other kids, the same horny teen who grabbed her a.ss not too long ago decided to reach his hand out to grab her a.ss again, unfortunately for him I grabbed his wrist back managing to make his wrist crack and pop.
"AYEE OW S.HIT WHAT THE F.UCK" he yelped out in pain.
Before he started yelling I made sure Ash was off the bus before whispering something in his ear. As I whispered in his ear everyone around us was staring with a terrified looking in their eyes just the same as the Guy I was whispering to. I finished whispering and got off the bus with horrified faces glued to me.
I saw Ash beginning to walk to her house making sure she was okay and didn't hear the commotion on the bus before walking towards my house. As I was walking and about to approach the steps of my house I heard my name being called.
"Cody..?" Ash said nervously.
I turned around to face her but kept quite.
"I never got the chance to thank you...you know about the whole uhm car thing" Ash said with her eyes glued to the ground.
I smirked and ran my fingers through my hair before turning around to walk up the steps of my house.
She stood in her place with a confused facial expression plastered on her face as to why I hadn't replied back.
I went up a couple of steps and got on my driveway and turned around.
"Ash." I said while gripping on to the slings of my backpack.
She quickly looked up and stumbled a little. "Yeah?" She replied.
"You might wanna buy some curtains...or possibly change somewhere not near a window" I stated and smirked before entering my house and closing the door.<Ash POV>
The words kept floating around in my mind, "Change somewhere not near a window".
"DOES THAT MEAN HE'S BEEN SEEING ME CHANGE?! HE'S SEEN PARTS OF ME THAT EVEN MY FAMILY HASNT SEEN- (except for my mom of course) wait did he see-? No he couldn't have...could he?" I had thought while I stood motionless in front of his house with a face as red as blood.
I ran back to my house and ran up to my room. When I walked into my room I found a girly dress laid out on my bed and laughed.
"Hah funnyyyy Rose" I laughed to myself and went to my closet.
I looked around my closet for a dress since I knew Rose aka my mom would have a fit if I didn't.
Finally after fifteen long minutes spent in my closet I found a maroon velvet short dress that ended a few inches above my knees.
I got dressed in the velvet dress and put on my everyday converse.
For my makeup I did a winged eyeliner with a smokey eye and dark red lips.
After I had gotten dressed and finished my make up I left my hair how it was (wavy but slightly more on the curly side).
I went downstairs looking for my mom and saw a note on the counter that read "Ash were already at the get together. We need you to arrive at five. It's located next door. -Mom"
I checked my phone and saw the time. 5:31.
"S.hit" I sighed and ran out of my house and down the steps.
I walked over next door where the block party was located and ran up their drive and up to their door.
I was about to knock when I remembered that this is Cody's house and what had happened earlier.
"Greattt" I winced out and put my hand up to the door about to knock when it suddenly swung open.
"O-oh i-uh-heh- uhm hi" Was all I managed to stutter out.
"Hi! You must be Ashe-" the woman standing in front of me said before I cut her off.
"Just Ash" I said while rocking back and forth on the balls of my feet.
"Oh uh okay Ash" she replied surprised and opened the door escorting me inside.
"Ashhh honeyy why were you late and where is the outfit I had laid out on your bed" Rose aka my mom had questioned with a big fake smile on her face.
"Well, Rose you see I got home from school and went straight up to my room...like I always do..that I've been doing for years. Eventually I came downstairs ready to go and noticed a note on the counter. I had read it and rushed over here not knowing I had a specific time limit and as for the outfit I didn't wear it obviously" I said replying with a fake smile to match hers.
"Oh it's just fine dear just a apologize to everyone here who had waited for you" she said managing grit out through her teeth.
I sighed and looked around at everyone and noticed Cody standing in a nice suit.
"Everyone who had supposedly waited for me I am dearly sorry with the sincerest of apologies" I said with a straight face. As soon as I had said this I had heard a light chuckle coming from the right of me near the stairs. Cody.
"Uhm Cody honey do you mind taking Ash up to your room and I don't know get to know each other" His mother had said nervously.
I went wide eyed looking back and forth with pleading eyes not to go and hoping he'd say no.
"Not. At. All." He had smirked looking at me noticing my sudden nervousness.
I shot a glare at him as he took my hand and walked me up the stairs.
"You knew I was coming over didn't you" I frowned.
"Maybe." He smirked and opened the door to his room.
I sighed and walked into his room.
"What?" He questioned.
"I'm never going to hear the end of Rose" I mumbled and sat down on a chair in his room.
"Rose?" He said confused.
"Well my mom" I sighed out before getting my phone.
"Oh..she seemed calm about everything" Cody sighed along with me and sat on his bed.
"Hah well trust me when we get home she'll break her act" I rolled my eyes and ran my fingers through my hair.
"So what exactly do we do now" I questioned.
"Well...." Cody had slurred while a smirk creeped up on his face.-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-
