<Ash POV>

As he shoved open my door I had been sitting against to enclose myself in my room, I fell to my knees. He yanked me up by my already bruised arm and shoved me up against the wall.
"Just get off of me before I call someone!" I yell and try to wiggle out of his grasp.
"Who're you gonna call?! HUH?!" He yelled back and inched closer and closer to my face.

WHO'RE YOU GONNA CALL?! GHOST BUSTERS!! Ok sorry go back to the story.

He pulled me away from the wall and shoved me harshly to the ground as I reached my free hand over to the knob of the door "Gonna try calling your little mommy?!" He slurred. "Huh?! Gonna call your big brother?!"
I backed up against the bay window in my room and froze.
S.hit..how does he know about Nash..
"Yeah! That's right! Big brother Nash was here!" He yelled and stomped closer to me. "I was coming home from work, when I saw your dumba.ss brother waltzing out of the kitchen!"
"Okay and?!" I yelled back and clinched my fists attempting to be the slightest amount of intimidating, only earning a drunk guffaw in return.
He quickly yanked me up yet again and shoved me up against my bay window, forcing me to bend my knees a bit.
"Stop it!" I yelled and kneed him, aiming for his c.rotch, but hitting his stomach instead.
As he doubled over in pain, I was panicking and trying to get out of his grip, I had thoughts racing around my head. Where's Nash? What'd he do to Nash? When will my Mom be home? How am I going to get him to stop this? And sadly of course me being the person I am, what's for dinner?

<Cody POV>

After Ash left I unfortunately had to go back to the preppy princess party for my sister Katarra. I ran back into my backyard to the party and began entertaining the little girls and even earning some laughs from some parents, I'm guessing because of my outfit.
About fifteen or twenty minutes and ten million piggy back rides later, everyone started exiting out through our backyard gate and our house. As I was making my way back inside I heard my mom thanking everyone who came before calling my name.
"Yeah?" I answer back with a sigh.
"Before you go inside, can you clean everything up?" She asked and bumped her hip against the backyard gate, making it close.
I took another sigh and exhaled as I walked over to the bounce house she rented for the party.
"Oh! Leave that be, we have it for another week, they had some good deals" she smiled and scurried around the place.
"Okayyy" I groaned in exhaustment and collected all of the trash into one pile.
As I tossed all of the trash into a black trash bag, I walked out of our gates and onto the driveway where the giant trash can bins sat when suddenly I heard yelling and a few thuds. After a few seconds I shrugged it off and threw about the trash before running back inside and up to my room.

<Ash POV>

"Get off of me!" I scream as my step-fathers hands lower down to my a.ss. "You're pathetic!"
As I was struggling to get him off of me, he began inching closer to my face, causing me to shift my head sideways and see something out of my peripheral
Vision. A dark figure. A figure. A..Cody.
After I saw Cody I turned my attention back to my drunk step-father and spit on his face.
A few seconds after I had spit on him, he jolted away wincing and rubbing his eyes. I took this moment to quickly knee him in the crotch (this time getting the aim correct) and make a run for it. I ran down the stairs with him following behind me and ran towards the front door before I suddenly felt a stinging pain on the side of my head and my side in my ribs.  Passed out.

I was awaken by yelling and sat up groaning. I faced with my step father and eventually remembered the sequence of events that happened not too long ago.
"Go." I said calmly without looking him in the eye.
"No, you're gonna listen to me young la-" he began before I had cut him off.
"No! You're gonna listen to me or I'll make sure to have a restraining order against you and my family! And-" I yelled as I got up and walked over to him in his stance against my bay window.
Before I could finish, he turned me around so my back was facing the window and a loud slap had sounded and I was left with a stinging pain on the side of my face.
