22: "Spooky and Scary"

"Alright, so you're still kinda new at this, Jack.. You know you're my bodyguard. And my sister's bodyguard, but mostly me.." Lunar starts off by pacing around the room, while Jack was sitting in a chair watching him do so. "You know how to use your weapons. I think.. And you're not stupid, because you're human now, so you're not going to randomly break my stuff."

"Well, I might still do that. Sometimes I forget my wings are 3 times my size and will knock stuff over." Jack says.

"Because you're my bodyguard.. you're technically supposed to be with me, or keeping an eye on me all the time. Like a babysitter! Have you ever babysat anyone?" Lunar fondles with his hands peering at the other.

"Well, I always used to watch over my baby cousins. I wonder how they're doing now."

"Besides that.." Lunar mumbles. "So you're likely going to partake in any.. social.. activities with me..?"

"..Wot are you getting at?" Jack questions.

Lunar hisses, swaying back and forth. He holds his hands behind his back. "Well.. The thing is.. I'm supposed to be meeting up with uhm.. Gemini, and.. Taurus.. And I'm nervous, because I've never been in like.. an actual meeting like that.."

"Hm." Jack only hums. "What horrible thing could happen with you and the Astrals, it seems like they've taken an interest in you anywho."

"I'm still, nervous.. It's like when I go training, and Taurus is all tough, and he even hit me! It really hurt.. I despise training.." Lunar whines. But then he shrugs it off almost immediately. "But then again, I'll have you with me, my dear old bodyguard!~"

"Uhm.. about that.. I'm not going to going with you.." Jack rubs his little knife fingers together.

"..What? WHAT!?" Lunar panics. "Wha- Bu- You're not going!? B-But you have to! Y-You're my bodyguard!"

"Lunar.. I'd love to go with you, but my body has been acting strangely.." Jack says. "I don't know if something is malfunctioning in my systems, but I've been having trouble trying to control it. I mean.. some of my fingers are stuck in Knife Expansion." He holds up his hand, where some of his fingers were extra long because of the issue.

"But I can't go alone! I need somebody there for me! Please." Lunar goes over to hold Jack's hands. "I need you with me.."

"I'm really sorry, Lunar. But I need to get fixed, and I don't think the Astral's are going to let me come with. This is supposed to be a meeting of just you, and them." Jack said. He gently pulls his hands out of Lunar's as not to scratch him with his knives.

Lunar's hands twitch, before he pouts childishly. "Hmph! Whatever, I'm not gonna be a baby about it!" He gets quiet for a moment.

Eventually, Lunar stomps the ground and groans very noisily. "I'm so nervous! Is this what Sun feels when they deal with us kids 24/7!? Noo, what am I gonna do??"

"Relax, Lunar. I'm sure it won't be too bad. It's not like training. Just a meeting, where you're just gonna sit down and have a talk. If they ask you questions, which they likely will, answer them honestly." Jack waves his hands, trying to calm down the teen.

The door to the room opens, and Solar comes in. He must have been here for Jack, to take him to prepare for fixing.

"Oh, Solar! My one and only!" Lunar runs to his partner, hugging him. "I'm freaking out, I don't wanna go to the meeting!"

"Lunar.." Solar sighs. "We talked about this. You'll be fine." He tries to get Lunar to let go of him, but the other only squeezes him tighter.

"But I'll be stuck all alone! Even Jack can't come with!" Lunar complains.
