26: "To Fall im Love so Quickly"

Jack was seen lying on his back. His eyes had some words written on them, saying things like ERROR and LOADING. Eventually he came back online, softly groaning. Finally, he was back to being himself.

He managed to get up, looking around at his surroundings. Although his eyes were stuck as a reddish orange and yellow color, Nexus' control on his body was gone. Jack rubs his head as he gets up, and after doing so, he sees that he's fallen down some kind fiery ditch, where he had burned for some time.

Unfortunately his fire resistance had been deactivated because of the damage to his body, so his wings had burned pretty good. When Jack opened his wings and flapped, he hardly moved. He would try again, this time jumping, but his wings don't function properly. As a result, he falls onto his knees, groaning in pain.

Jack would grab his wing and look at it, seeing how scorched they were. He would sigh.. His clothes were decently ripped as well. His shirt was torn at the waist, showing his skeletal torso, and his cape was pretty ripped up as well.

He looks at his hands, then his body. Some of it was reforming after being burnt, some looking a bit reddish because of the fire on the steel. Despite it being painful, the big migraine he was having was worse.

"Hgughh.." He whines as he stands up. Limping, he would step down a couple blocks of debris, and went to sit down on a pipe looking object. It seems that the Killcode virus was still somewhere in his system, seeing as he starts to malfunction slightly. His eyes glitch as he fights the virus away. "Oww, ow ow.. bloody hell.."

Jack sits there for some time after fighting away the virus. It seems that after the battle, and Solar's added help to decode the virus, it was pretty easy to fight. Nexus' could no longer take control of his body because of this.

"Jack." Moon suddenly appeared, calling his name.

Jack would flinch hearing his name. He looked at Moon, surprised that he was there. "Moon? I-I.. Wh-What are you doing here?"

"I've been here." Moon said. "Remember that we all came into this place together?"

"O-Oh! R-Right! I seem to have forgotten.." Jack awkwardly chuckles. He softly groans as he glitches again. "Ow.. Why does it hurt? It didn't hurt before.."

"Maybe it's just because you're all.. damaged.. I'm surprised that you're even moving." Moon starts walking towards him.

Jack gets nervous when he starts approaching. "M-Moon, you shouldn't be near me! I still have the virus thing in my body, I could still be dangerous! I-"

"In the condition you're in right now, I doubt that you'll do anything. It looks like Nexus lost control over you, anyways. So.. you're okay, now." Moon stops after he reaches Jack's side. He would sit down next to the other. "Wow, looks like they did a number to you."

"You think..?" Jack exhales shakily. "I thought I was going to die.. All I saw was black.. Just felt subtle things when.. Was I fighting somebody?"

"Nexus used the Killcode virus to take over your body. And you fought Venus and Caelus, and almost killed me." Moon would say. "That's about the most you've done. Well.. you actually damn near killed all of us."

"I did!? I'm so sorry.." Jack felt really bad. "I know that technically we're all already dead, but.. I'm pretty sure that you could still lose your soul and just.. cease to exist."

"Jack, it wasn't you. I mean, it was your body, but it wasn't you." Moon reassures that he did nothing wrong. "Nexus used your body to do horrible things. Luckily we were able to stop him from doing that."
