Chapter 2: Questionable Methods

The next morning...

When Cas woke up his parents were already gone for work. The house was so quiet he couldn't even hear the radio on in the living room which his mother was known for listening to music in the early morning as she cooked and cleaned. He then whistled for backup to follow and the whistle caught his attention to follow. He let Backup out in the backyard to do his business and throw the ball around for a little while before texting Miles.

Cas: Hey Miles, Text me your address and I'll be over to pick you. I'll get you out of this mess with Weevil and continue this little plan into action.

He pressed send and then put his phone into his pocket before grabbing his bag and called Backup to the car. "Come on boy, let's go for a ride, huh?" Backup wagged his tail happily and barked before jumping into the air excited and followed Cas into the car as Cas started the car. Backup got in the back seat.

Meanwhile at the Davis-Morales residence...

Colton was not looking forward to to give his daily undercover shield report and he honestly didn't know what to expect his handler and mentor figure Natasha would say about his slip up during recon. As he pulled on his Jeans and got ready for the school day he stood in front of his mirror brushing his teeth and after doing so he brushed his hand gently over his scar shoulder. Failure was cause for extreme reprimand when he was reporting to hydra. He shook his head aggressively to rid himself of the thoughts something's were meant to be left in he past. Colton slid on a white long sleeve and a black t-shirt over it before stepping outside and joining his family at the kitchen table. Jefferson sat at the head of the table reading the days paper and sipping his coffee.

CoIton took a seat and smiled at his family "good morning guys. Mr Davis what did Spider-Man do this time." Colton found himself asking as front page of the daily bugle had a picture imprinted upon it as he wore a new suit a brighter red color with a large white spider emblem. Jefferson looked up from his paper with a gentle smile. "Colton your more than welcome to call me Jeff or Jefferson. As for spider man, he Saved some civilians a few block down from a fire." Jefferson stated. Miles pulled his phone out looking at the text he'd just received.

Rio approached and scolded her son sharply "you know the rules at the dinner table mijo." The Hispanic beauty stated. Miles eyes darted in his mother's direction "I'm sorry mama it's just ganke needs my helps with something before school can I be excused from breakfast." Miles asked but Colton could easily determine he was lying. After getting permissions from his parents he began to text cas back before Cas pulled up in front of the apartment. Entering his friend's vehicle he found himself asking "So what is it exactly that we are doing?"

Cas turned and looked to Miles as he got in. Backup growled for a second before Cas said "Backup, chill, he's a friend," Backup was very behaved. He may growl at someone he doesn't know around his owner but he also knows that if Cas says they're cool he's cool with them until Cas says otherwise. "Miles this is my protective and cuddly pit bull, Backup,"

Backup sniffed at Miles' hand and then proceeded to lick it after a moment. Miles was unsure for a moment but then reached back and petted Backup. "Aww he likes you," Cas said with a smile before he started driving to the Midtown Police Station. He hummed for a moment and then spoke. "We're going to get you some leverage," he said simply. When they came to a light, Castiel turned and went down until he reached the precinct. He pulled into the parking lot and parked with his police scanner on low volume in the car. He pulled out a tape and a little switch from his bag.

"Okay here's the plan, we wait for all of the police cruisers to clear out and when they do I flick this little switch. When I flick that switch it's going to spark the marijuana in the evidence room and when that happens we go in and switch the surveillance tape from roadrunner. You get the real tape while I replace it with this little honey movie of jackass Sergeant Edward Rowland picking up an escort. There was a break in last night in my building and we're going to use that as a cover. You'll pull out this folder with the pictures I took and keep the officer distracted while I get the job done"
