The next morning Rio Morales and Jefferson Davis went to Neptune High to speak with Mrs. Baker about Colton's performance in his classes. "Don't worry Colton, we'll get you caught up and I'll help you when I get off work for a while. You better hope those grades improve because I know my wife she'll take you to school every day she doesn't have to work and she'll sit right beside in you class."

"Ma...! you wouldn't," Miles questioned with a horrified expression. That wouldn't just embarrass Colton, it'd be embarrassing for Miles too. "Shoot, you're grandma almost had to with me when I was about your age. Don't think neither one of us would call in and use a sick day cause we could..." Jefferson said with a laugh as Rio nodded agreeing with what her husband said. "Yes I would... it'd be just like I did in your first week of fifth grade when your teacher told us that you were misbehaving and refusing to do your school work. You wouldn't want to go through that again would you?"

Jefferson pulled into the Neptune High parking lot. "Hopefully the school has a good program to help you catch up without it having to resort to that," Jefferson said as he put the car in park and took the keys out of the ignition. "Okay everybody out, let's get in there..." he said unfastening his seat-belt.

Miles shot Colton a look with an expression that said 'You have no idea how much I wanna smack you upside the head for this,' It seemed unfair, it was like miles was paying for Colton's bad time management. It sucked. "Well I better get to class. "I'll see you later," Miles said sprinting off leaving Colton by himself.

Colton let loose a deep sigh as his adoptive brother miles had seemingly abandoned him. He was really hoping that Natasha romanoff AKA Natalie Baker was able to pull through for him although Colton wasn't about to admit out loud how uncertain he truly was.

Entering the principals office alongside his adoptive parents Jefferson and Rio Morales were welcomed warmly by the dean and vice principal Clements. Mr. Clements spoke up gesturing his arms to indicate for them to sit. "Please Mr and Mrs. Morales have a seat." Once everyone was seated and comfortable the dean spoke up "We are all aware of why we are here. Colton here is very gifted and shows a lot of of promise however his grades as of late have been less than stellar. A generous and anonymous donor has supplied the necessary funds for a project that Mrs. Baker has been wanting to launch for a while now." The dean stated indicating the AP literature instructor.

Natasha smiled warmly before speaking up "Hello I must say it's a pleasure to finally meet you two. both your sons are very gifted and unique and I'm glad I finally get meet the parents that raised them. I had this vision to launch a program for kids that are very gifted but require a more hands on alternative approach to education and until recently we haven't had access to the funds to do so. Colton as well as a few other students are eligible for this program as well as our newest transfer student Bobby Drake."

Jefferson sat up straight in his chair "Excuse me miss, this sounds great and all but what does this program consist of and how with it help my son Colton." Jefferson asked leaning forward slightly. Miss baker didn't skip a beat and her smile grew wider "I'm glad you asked Colton is so smart and he grasps concepts and process knowledge very quickly however because of this it is difficult for him to want to be engaged in the learning process. This program with his offer alternative methods to engage him. Virtual reality lesson plans, field trips, in person interviews with experts in various fields of their profession either in person or in online interview." Miss baker spoke with passion as she gazed off in the distance before vice principal Clements spoke up.

"Now obviously for any field trips we would need your consent for travel but all costs with be covered by our financial backers and nothing will be paid out of pocket. Colton is your son and if this isn't a program you want him to take part in we completely understand however we believe your son will greatly benefit from this program."
