If you take a mortal man and gift him an ounce of power, he would look in the mirror and view a god.

He would believe that the sun rises and falls before him. That he is the greatest being... he holds control.

Salvatore Armani was one of those mortal men, who familiarised himself with the art of power and wealth, and eventually consumed the sensation like a drug.

Growing up in a world of darkness and shadows, the light within his soul gradually dimmed and thus burnt out.

Having a father like Rafael Armani certainly moulded his character from young. Everything he had learnt was build up from familial discipline and sternness.

The moon had fallen into virgo when Ludovica and D'Angelo announced the birth of their daughter. The pair lived under the same roof as Salvatore and his family, D'Angelo was the second in command to Rafael.

Ludovica decided to name her daughter 'Angelita', as she claimed to have been an angel brought down as a gift.

Despite the immense emotions of joy and bliss, Ludo and D'Angelo feared the idea of their daughter being tainted by the mafia world.

D'Angelo was familiar with the illicit affairs and behaviours of those within the mafia. Gangsters who lived by corruption, killing their victims in return for wealth and reputation.

Salvatore had promised D'Angelo that he would keep his daughter protected. It was known that Salvatore was heir to be Don, thus D'Angelo placed his trust in Salvatore.

Salvatore and the young girl were rather close. He would watch her as she painted frivolously, her appearance ruined by numerous shades of paints and crayons.

Sometimes he'd join her, chuckling as he would purposely smear some paint on her nose.

The relationship between the pair was solely platonic. Salvatore treated Angel with utmost care and sought to protect her.

When Salvatore was crowned as the Don of the Italian mafia at age 19, shackles had bounded themselves at his ankles, piercing through his flesh and dragging him further and further into a darkened abyss.

D'Angelo had become the second in command to Salvatore, he worked under the control of the Don.

Everything was under the control of the new Don, including Angel.

He had lost all light.

That was the observation which his mother constantly made. She would stare into Salvatore's eyes, desperate to find the young boy who she once called her son.

Yet instead, she was faced with an empty vessel... a body which lacked a soul.

The young Don was certainly popular amongst the women of the aristocracy. His enviably tall height towered over the rest of the men in any room. He was adorned in tattoos, adding a sense of mystery to his appearance which enthralled the women even more.
