Elara approached the king's chamber, gripping Reina's letter tightly as she neared the guards. She took a deep breath, her mind racing with how to convince them to deliver this vital message. However, as she tried to explain herself, the guards crossed their spears in front of her, their expressions unyielding.

"No visitors for the king," one of them stated flatly, his eyes barely acknowledging her presence.

"But it's urgent," Elara insisted, "from Princess Reina."

The guard's eyebrow raised slightly, a flash of surprise in his eyes at Reina's name, but he showed no sign of relenting. As Elara struggled to make her case, the king's private advisor stepped out of the chamber, his gaze sharp and dismissive as he assessed the situation.

"What is this disturbance?" he snapped, his tone clipped with irritation. He looked down at Elara, his eyes narrowing with disdain. "Why are you here, causing such a scene?"

Elara swallowed her nerves, bowing low. "Forgive me, sir. I carry an important message from Princess Reina for His Majesty. She said it must be delivered with the utmost discretion."

The advisor scoffed, barely hiding his contempt. "Princess Reina, you say?" His voice dripped with disdain. "His Majesty has far more important matters to attend to than dealing with the trivial whims of an outcast."

Elara's cheeks burned with embarrassment as his words echoed in the hall, making her feel smaller than ever. She clutched the letter tighter, feeling the weight of Reina's trust pressing down on her. "But please, sir, it's important-"

The advisor waved a dismissive hand, cutting her off. "Important? Reina is of little consequence here. Take her message back to her, and let this be the last time you waste my time."
